A Few Good Reasons Why We Should Study The Bible

(MAKES OUR LIFE RUN SUCCESSFULLY)
Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 12:28

(IT IS OUR BUCKLER)
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. Psalm 18:30

(IT IS OUR SHIELD)
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Proverbs 30:5

(IT IS ETERNAL TRUTH)
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isaiah 40:8

(IT BRINGS US JOY IN OUR LIFE)
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16

(WE ARE COMMANDED TO DO IT)
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4

(IT BRINGS US BLESSING)
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. Luke 11:28

(IT IS HOW WE STRENGTHEN OUR FAITH)
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

(IT IS OUR WEAPON)
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:17

(IN ORDER TO NOT BE ASHAMED)
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

(IT IS OUR POWER)
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

(BECAUSE JESUS IS THE LIVING WORD)
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:12-13

The Royal Family

A beggar lived near the king's palace. One day he saw a proclamation posted outside the palace gate. The king was giving a great dinner. Anyone dressed in royal garments was invited to the party.

The beggar went on his way. He looked at the rags he was wearing and sighed. Surely only kings and their families wore royal robes, he thought. Slowly an idea crept into his mind. The audacity of it made him tremble. Would he dare? He made his way back to the palace. He approached the guard at the gate. "Please, sire, I would like to speak to the king." "Wait here," the guard replied. In a few minutes, he was back. "His majesty will see you," he said, and led the beggar in.

"You wish to see me?" asked the king. "Yes, your majesty. I want so much to attend the banquet, but I have no royal robes to wear. Please, sir, if I may be so bold, may I have one of your old garments so that I, too, may come to the banquet?" The beggar shook so hard that he could not see the faint smile that was on the king's face. "You have been wise in coming to me," the king said. He called to his son, the young prince. "Take this man to your room and array him in some of your clothes."

The prince did as he was told and soon the beggar was standing before a mirror, clothed in garments that he had never dared hope for. "You are now eligible to attend the king's banquet tomorrow night," said the prince. "But even more important, you will never need any other clothes. These garments will last forever." The beggar dropped to his knees. "Oh, thank you," he cried.

But as he started to leave, he looked back at his pile of dirty rags on the floor. He hesitated. What if the prince was wrong? What if he would need his old clothes again. Quickly he gathered them up.

The banquet was far greater than he had ever imagined, but he could not enjoy himself as he should. He had made a small bundle of his old rags and it kept falling off his lap. The food was passed quickly and the beggar missed some of the greatest delicacies.

Time proved that the prince was right. The clothes lasted forever. Still the poor beggar grew fonder and fonder of his old rags. As time passed people seemed to forget the royal robes he was wearing. They saw only the little bundle of filthy rags that he clung to wherever he went. They even spoke of him as the old man with the rags.

One day as he lay dying, the king visited him. The beggar saw the sad look on the king's face when he looked at the small bundle of rags by the bed. Suddenly the beggar remembered the prince's words and he realized that his bundle of rags had cost him a lifetime of true royalty. He wept bitterly at his folly. And the king wept with him.

We cannot hold onto our old rags. When we put our faith in Christ, we must let go of the sin in our life, and our old ways of living. Those things must be discarded if we are to experience true royalty and abundant life in Christ. We have been invited into the royal family--the family of God. To feast at God's dinner table, we must shed our old rags and put on our "new clothes" which is provided by God's Son, Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 61:10 ... I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. ♥

One Day

One Day I will leave this body
And I will get a perfect one
That day I will see His glory
Shining like the noonday sun

One day, I'll take a walk with Jesus
He might explain the mysteries of life
Some say, I just can't believe it
But I know that one day

We will gather at the Crystal Throne
All these years: we're finally home
I can actually see His face
And all I can do is say,

Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come
We lay our crowns before You
Every heart and soul: adore You:
The God of Gods, Almighty One

One Day, death will be abolished
And sin will have its mastery no more
And I know that we will be astonished
At all that our Creator has in store

One day we will meet our Savior
And He will give each one of us a stone
Engraved with our names upon it:
Known by God alone
[ Performed by: Aaron Shust]

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:28

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 1:21 ♥

A Christian Household

I once thought marriage took just two to make a go,
But now I am convinced it takes the Lord also.

And not one marriage fails
Where Christ is asked to enter,
As lovers come together
With Jesus at the center.

But marriage seldom thrives,
And homes are incomplete,
Till He is welcomed there
To help avoid defeat.

In homes where Christ is first,
It's obvious to see,
Those unions really work,
For marriage still takes three.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Freedom in Christ our LORD

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Colossians 2:14-17 ♥

Zacharias Spirit-Filled Prophecy

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Luke 1:68-79 ♥

The Love of God

1 John 4:9-10 ... In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.♥

Born That We May Have Life

♥†♥ Celebrate Jesus ♥†♥

“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

Honor The Perfect Gift

Honor The Perfect Gift -
God's One and Only Son.

Jesus is the gift that perfectly fits every heart and it is with His love that all celebration starts.

We rejoice in Him as we remember His birth and thank God for sending His only Son to earth.

His life led from a manger to a cross on a hill
where He faithfully followed His Father's perfect will.

He freely laid down everything so that we could live
and there is no greater treasure anyone could give.

Like a scarlet ribbon His love wrapped around the cross
and He offered it to us all at the greatest cost.

So each time that we give we remember what He's done
and honor the perfect Gift - God's one and only Son.

Little John, the Baptist

Johnny's Mother looked out the window and noticed Him "playing church" with their cat. He had the cat sitting quietly and he was preaching to it. She smiled and went about her work.

A while later she heard loud meowing and hissing and ran back to the open window to see Johnny baptizing the ...cat in a tub of water. She called out, "Johnny, stop that! The cat is afraid of water!"

Johnny looked up at her and said, "He should have thought about that before he joined my church."

Victory Road

Directions to my Father's house:

Make a right onto "Believeth Blvd." Keep straight and go through the Green Light, which is Jesus Christ.

From there, you must turn onto the "Bridge of Faith," which is over troubled waters. When you get off the bridge, make a Right and Keep Straight. You are on the "King's Highway" -- Heaven-Bound.

Keep going for three miles: One for the Father, One for the Son and One for the Holy Spirit.

Exit off onto "Grace Blvd." From there, make a Right turn on "Gospel Lane ." Keep straight and then make another Right onto "Prayer Road ."

As you travel on your way, Yield Not to the traffic on
"Temptation Ave." Also, avoid "Sin Street" because it is a Dead End!!

Pass up "Envy Drive," and "Hate Avenue." Also, pass "Hypocrisy Road," "Gossiping Lane," and "Backbiting Blvd."

However, you must go down "Long Suffering Lane", "Persecution Street" and "Trials and Tribulations Avenue." But that's all right, because "Victory Road" is straight ahead! Amen!

The Redeemed

♥ Let the redeemed of the LORD say so Psalm 107:2

This Christmas

This Christmas, take Him from the hay
And place Him on the throne,
For He is the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords
So crown Him as your own.

Soon He'll break the Eastern Sky
Returning for His Bride,
And all who still turn Him away
Will have no place to hide.

Care enough to give the best
To family and friends,
Give to them the Good News now
Of the life that never ends.

Show them there's a better way
Not mapped by any man,
Let them know they have a choice
To live Salvation's Plan.

Jesus Christ was once that child
But let the good news ring,
This Christmas, let the whole world know,
HE REIGNS AS LORD AND KING!!!
