Suit Up!!

If it seems ole devil is constantly trying to distract you from GOD, you are right! See, if ole slew foot can’t destroy you, he’ll figure out a way to distract you. His goal is simple ... “Steal-Kill & Destroy” (John 10:10)

No doubt he is a formidable adversary but even he has weaknesses. If you pay close attention, he’s predictable and uses the same old tricks time and time again. It is up to us to stay alert so that we won't fall prey to this conniving joker. Even as busy as he is right now TRYING to take out Israel, trust me, he still has time for you. NEVER let your guard down! Don’t let anything or anyone take your focus off GOD and what GOD is doing in your life.

Many times, I’ve warned you of his ways of distraction the biggest is speaking negative depressing and tempting thoughts into your head. Please understand when he speaks it’s always a lie! John 8:44 tells us, "There is no truth in him as he is the father of lies." You can discern his voice because he plants seeds that grow into fear and doubt. Ole devil will use anything he can-past wounds idols in your life-social media play on your weaknesses using GOD given desires and even your friends. If we fall for the distractions, you could easily become ineffective in our faith. Distractions have a way of popping their ugly heads up at a time when we need to have our undivided attention on what GOD is doing with us and within us.

Proverbs 4:25 says, “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your sight directly before you.” Friend-regardless of how you may feel, don't give into the feelings of frustration over things not going as you envisioned. Keeping doubt and discontent in your mind can be one of our biggest distractions and he knows it. Start your day with GOD in prayer suit up in your Spiritual Armor and declare Not Today Devil!

If you don’t set the tone for your day ole devil will gladly set it for you. I pray you have a GREAT weekend and be sure to reflect the love of JESUS in everything you say and do. GOD Bless!!

Cracks in Your Armor?

We are the light of the world, metaphorically and spiritually speaking as well. In this dark sinful world, we bring the light of hope to the unsaved world. A candle lit in the darkness. Light is the only element that can disperse and cancel out darkness. It works immediately and effectively. Romans 13:12 "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light" Casting off the works of darkness in of itself is not sufficient to walking in the light, we are to put the armor of light. This means that the armor does not rest on a believer by chance or coincidence; it is a deliberate act by the believer to put it on. Ephesians 4:22-24 "that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Derick Prince, a minister who has since passed on to be with the Lord, said in one of his books that when we enter into place (such as a hospital filled with disease and illness) that upon entering that hospital, every evil spirit eye is upon you. They see you clearly and know instantly who you are, a child of the living God. They watch intently to see why you are there. The spirit of cancer may ask, "Have you come to destroy the works I have laid?" and many demonic forces may ask the same question. They see you clearly because you adorn the armor of God, the armor of light. The breastplate of our armor is terribly important, because it protects our heart. It is the main source for the light within our armor of God which shines before us.

Christ, the Light of the heavens and earth, is within our hearts. It is what gives our armor shine in the spiritual realm. We are comprised of 3 parts, body, soul and spirit. Our spiritual being is always connected to God and God is light. God hears our prayer, sees what is in our minds and sees our everyday actions, but what He cares most is what is within our hearts. When we accepted the Lord within us, the fullness of God resided in our hearts. We are righteous because Christ is righteous, and that covenant is written upon our breastplate for all to see. All the armor of God (Ephesians 6:14-17) is given to us for protection from evil entities. In its perfection, it provides protection for every part of one's spiritual body to the maximum.

However, only in its pristine state can it effectively do this, therefore we need to inspect our armor daily to be sure it has no cracks, rust, corrosion or holes are in it. Otherwise, we may be allowing a passage for evil to enter in through that erosion and thereby weakening our ability to perform in the mission or commission received from God. There are many ways our armor can develop cracks or corrosion, like sin, disbelief, worldly compromise or even complacency in our lives. We must take inventory on ourselves daily to insure we have the full protection needed. The best way to do this is to come before the Lord in prayer and ask Him to cover us (and our armor) in His blood. It is by His blood that He shed on Calvary, that cleanses us. This will cleanse us of all sin, the ones we may know of and the ones we don't. Evil spirits cannot enter you nor possess you because you have the Holy Spirit inside you, but they can oppress you, cling onto you and try to erode your armor with their evil ways. If not detected and removed, it will begin to corrode your armor and eventually crack or open up the armor you put on. Taking inventory on oneself shall also be taking inventory on one's armor. We are in a spiritual war with the enemy.

Remember, every time you pray you are in essence declaring war on the enemy. If you pray for someone you are coming against the evil oppressions, they are trying to attach or deliver, and they will consider that act as an act of war. We do not need to fear them or their ways for we have full protection (our armor) against any onslaught, and we have authority and power of such evil (Luke 10:19) I remember a minister who once stated, " Once you enter where darkness resides, the enemy sees you and your light which shines in the darkness they have created. When they look upon you, because you have put on the armor of God, they immediately think you are God (because you have God's armor on) and they will run and hide. The only time they know you are not God, is when you open your mouth. This is why it is important to only speak to them using God's Word in deliverance or casting them out. Besides the armor of God (armor of light) we also have the sword of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, as our offensive weapon. It too shines brightly before the enemy, and they know full and well how powerful it can be.

Yes, the enemy sees all that, however what they do not know is if you know all the weaponry you have and if you know how to effectively use them (Luke 10:19) So, in conclusion, Put on your armor (Ephesians 6:14-17) then check your armor for any defects, cracks or erosion, Know the authority and power you have at your disposal. You were fearfully made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), You have God's armor as well, so you are fully protected, and you have an army of God's angels around you plus the Lord Himself who goes before you in battle. Therefore, Victory is ours if we maintain all that we have and been given by the Lord. Check you armor daily, remove any cracks or erosion through prayer, for your armor is only effective when used correctly and with proper maintenance. Amen.

The Glory of God!!

Notice that the demon possessed man in Luke 4 did not cry out with a loud voice until Jesus got there. Those people sang their songs, said their prayers, read their scriptures, and the devil enjoyed it all.  But when the power of God came on the scene, suddenly the devil became upset.

Why? Religious ceremony is no threat to him. We can hold regular church services and demon possessed people can sit right through them right beside you and be undisturbed. But when the glory of God is manifested and the Spirit of God is moving, the devil can't stand it.

Know Your Spiritual Enemy.

Satan can do many things which are beyond our understanding, but there are many other things that Satan cannot do:

1. Satan cannot read your mind.
2. Satan cannot be in the same place at one time in one location simultaneously.
3. Satan cannot control a Christian beyond their own free will.
4. He [Satan] does not know you personally, but his followers do (demons and to a lesser degree fallen angels which are not the same.)
5. Satan is limited in his ability to bring harm to a Christian (read Job).

Satan is a fallen being, and his abilities and powers are far more than what we could or can imagine, this is why he is not able to be rebuked by Christians, or even bound by Christian declarations, nor is Satan under our feet (Charismatic gibberish).

Know your enemy, know your authority, and leave the rest to God.

The Devil's Chessboard!

Be watchful; the world is the devil's chessboard! You can hardly move backward or forward, but he is ready to attack you with some temptation!"

Those who play at the game of chess know that great caution is needed. Your opponent is working toward a design of which you know nothing; and while you imagine that you are doing exceedingly well, he is entrapping you!

The game of life, as against Satan, is one in which his maneuvers and artifice, his long practice and stratagems, his superior skill and deceptiveness, and his unscrupulous schemes give him an immense advantage over our poor self-conceited folly!

Lord, help us! You know our adversary; be pleased to deliver us out of his hand.

This Fight Ain't Got Any Rear

Historian Shelby Foote tells of a soldier who was wounded at the battle of Shiloh during the American Civil War and was ordered to go to the rear. The fighting was fierce and within minutes he returned to his commanding officer. “Captain, give me a gun!” he shouted. “This fight ain’t got any rear!”

In Ephesians, Paul describes the armor that we should put on daily. Have you ever noticed that every part of the body is covered except for one? The back! The Lord didn’t want us to run away and turn our back toward our enemy it would leave us vulnerable, with no armor to protect us against his attack! And just as a dog would when he senses fear, if we run from the enemy, he will relentlessly chase us until we are broken. But if we take courage and stand strong in the power of God’s might, then the battle will be the Lord’s and He has already won the victory!

The battle is raging! It’s time to take up our armor and face the enemy head-on! There’s no turning back! We’re in this together! There’s so much work to be done!

Where The Battle Rages

If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at the moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved and to be steady on all the battle front besides, is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point!

[Martin Luther]

Prepare For War

A United States Army officer who trained pupils at Fort Still for over 20 years once described the different qualities of the students during the two decades of his tenure. During the 1950’s, he observed the students’ attitude as being so lax that the instructors had trouble keeping their students awake during their lectures. This drastically changed in the mid 1960’s. The students began taking meticulous notes and absorbing every word of instruction. So, what changed? The lectures weren’t any different. Were mid 60s students somehow more diligent? No, but the circumstances had changed. The pupils of the 1950’s weren’t expecting to be sent to war, but the men in the 1960’s were being prepared to go to Vietnam.

We are already at war and the battle is raging. We cannot afford to be unprepared, as though we were at peace. Each of has a post or a position to occupy, or a battlefront to advance upon. So let us stay awake, alert and in constant preparation, feeding and abiding in the Word of God, continuing instant in prayer and growing mighty in it. There’s so much work to be done, and our Commander in Chief is looking for eager volunteers who are well prepared to serve. Honoring Him in the battles ahead will bring great joy through the exploits He will enable us to do.

Clean Victory

An eagle does not fight a snake on the ground. It picks it up and changes grounds, then releases it back to the ground.  A snake has no stamina, no power, no balance in the air.  It is useless, weak and vulnerable unlike on the ground where it is deadly, wise and powerful.

Take your fight to the spirit realm and when you are in the spiritual realm God takes charge.   Don't fight in the physical realm change grounds like an eagle.  You will be assured of a clean victory!

Good and Evil

I realize that many Christians have not been praying because they have not accepted the reality of war in which we find ourselves. There is a spiritual war mode that we must appropriate. It is an aggressive stance that we take against evil. It is governed by love for people, but it is fearless and uncompromising with the powers of darkness that manipulate people to fulfill evil plans.

Your Only Hope

There is no faithfulness with Satan to those who continue to serve him. He will grind them to dust, for he is a lion, seeking whom he can devour. I've never known the enemy to ever give rewards to anyone - ever. Even pagan nations whose countries have allowed Satan to come into their land, from India to Africa to Haiti, poverty stricken and ravaged by war, as much as these nations glorify him and worship his image, Satan still crushes them without mercy.

John 10:10 makes it clear Satan's true desire, to steal, kill and destroy. Yet Christ comes to give life, opposite from the one who comes to destroy life. There is no faithfulness with Satan, and if you are one who continues to follow him, such a hard taskmaster you serve. He will not reward you for anything, for his reward is death. John 3:16 is your only hope!

[Christopher Gregory]

His Grasp

When a person has the fullness of the Spirit of God, he will experience great conflicts with the Devil. God allows temptation because it does for us what storms do for oak trees, rooting us deeper, and it does for us what heat does for paint on porcelain, giving us long-lasting endurance.  You will never fully realize the level of strength of your grasp on Christ, or His grasp on you, until the Devil uses all his force to attract you to himself. It is then you will feel the tug of Christ’s hand.

[Charles H. Spurgeon]

Isaiah 41:10 ... Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
