Gods Angels

God's angels protect you without you even realizing.

[Billy Graham]

Luke 4:10 ...  For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

Psalm 34:7 ... The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Daniel 6:22 ...  My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

Matthew 18:10 ... Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Daily Privlege

Reading God’s Word and meditating on its truth will have a purifying effect upon your mind and heart and will be demonstrated in your life. Let nothing take the place of this daily privilege.

[Billy Graham]

Psalm 119:97 ... O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

"The Lord is One"

Q: Do you Christian's worship three Gods, or just one? I've heard about God the Father and God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, but doesn't that mean you believe in three Gods? I've always wondered about this.

A: No, Christians don’t worship three Gods; there is only one God, and He alone is the One we worship and serve. When Jesus was asked which of the commandments was most important, He replied, “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one” (Mark 12:29).

The Bible does tell us, however, that God has shown Himself to us in three distinct ways. First, He has shown us that He is our Father. Like our earthly fathers (but in a far greater way), He brought us into being, and He loves us and protects us and takes care of us. The Bible says, “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him” (Psalm 103:13). But God also has shown Himself to us in the person of Jesus Christ, who was God in human flesh and came to earth for a distinct reason: to make it possible for us to be with Him in heaven forever. Our sins separate us from God but by His death on the cross, Jesus Christ became the complete sacrifice for our sins.

God also comes to us in a third way by His Holy Spirit, who lives within us when we put our faith and trust in Christ. Just as a clover has three leaves and yet is still one clover, so God has three “personalities” and yet is still one God. And through each of these God shows His love for us. May you respond to His love by giving your life to Him, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Soap

Someone once asked Billy Graham “if Christianity is valid, why is there so much evil in the world?”

To this, the famous preacher replied, “With so much soap why are there so many dirty people in the world?   Christianity, like soap, must be personally applied if it is to make a difference in our lives.”

James 1:21-22 ... Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Each Life ...

Each life is made up of mistakes and learning, waiting and growing, practicing patience and being persistent.

[Billy Graham]

Hebrews 12:1 ... Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,❤

Mother

聘訙品  Did any of you, parents, ever hear your child wake from sleep with some panic fear and shriek the mother's name through the darkness? Was not that a more powerful appeal than all words? And, depend upon it, that the soul which cries aloud on God, "the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ," though it have "no language but a cry," will never call in vain.
[Alexander MacLaren]

聘訙品  Ladies, [motherhood] is a full-time job. Do not kid yourself that you can be a dental receptionist and a mother; that you can be a typist and a mom; that you can be a Vice President and a mom. One of the two things will win. Now look at your Bible and ask what you have to do.

聘訙品  My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her.

Titus 2:1-5 ... But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.  The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;  That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

The Knowledge of God

It was the mystery of lightening (so the story goes) that prompted Benjamin Franklin to attach a key to the tail of a kite during a thunderstorm, to prove the identity of lightening and electricity. We have always tried to understand the world around us; it is one of the things that sets us apart from animals.

Some of the mysteries of the past have been fathomed by science. Others still puzzle us. This fact remains: All of the garnered wisdom of the ages is only a scratch on the surface of humanity's search for the knowledge of the universe.

This inability to comprehend fully the mysteries of God's creation does not in any way cast doubt on the Christian faith. On the contrary, it enhances our belief. We do not understand the intricate patterns of the stars in their courses, but we know that He who created them does, and that just as surely as He guides them, He is charting a safe course for us.

The next time you look into the heavens at night, remember the words of the Psalmist: "The heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19:11).

[Billy Graham]

Romans 11:33 ... O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Psalm 145:3 ... Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

Ephesians 3:8 ... Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

The Mystery of His Love

No human experience can fully illustrate the imputed righteousness of God, as conceived by His infinite love. It is a mystery-incomprehensible and inexplicable. Like the mystery of the sun’s heat and light, we cannot measure it or explain it, and yet we could not live without it.

Writing of the mystery of completed righteousness, Paul said, “We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory. . . . But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:7, 9).

What God has wrought in us is wonderful. But His work has just begun. He has a wonderful, exciting, thrilling future for all of His believing children.

Romans 8:28-29 ... And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

What's in a Gift?

The mysterious spirit of generosity which possesses us at Christmas is the afterglow of Calvary.

[Billy Graham]

John 3:16 ... For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 Corinthians 2:12 ... Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

2 Corinthians 9:7 ... Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

You Need Jesus

I do not believe that any man, that any man can solve the problems of life without Jesus Christ. There are tremendous marital problems. There are physical problems. There are financial problems. There are problems of sin and habit that cannot be solved outside the person of our Lord Jesus Christ.

[Billy Graham]

John 15:5 ... I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Isaiah 55:3 ... Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. ❤

We are not cisterns made for hoarding, we are channels made for sharing.

[Billy Graham]

Isaiah 58:7 ... Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Luke 3:11 ... He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

Appeal to Unbelievers

Don't let anything -- including your fears that you aren't "good enough" -- keep you from Christ.

We Are ...

We are the Bibles the world is reading; we are the creeds the world is needing; we are the sermons the world is heeding.

 [Billy Graham]

Psalm 104:4 ... Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
1 Timothy 1:11-12 ...  According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

Matthew 5:16 ... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Luke 4:18-19 ... The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.❤

Sojourner

My home is in Heaven. I'm just traveling through this world.

[Billy Graham]

1 Chronicles 29:15 ... For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

Matthew 6:20-21 ... But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Philippians 3:20 ... For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: ❤

Hebrews 4:16 … Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Philippians 4:6 … Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Colossians 4:2 … Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.

Psalm 34:15 … The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

Jeremiah 33:3 … Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

1 John 5:14-15 … And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

John 16:24 … Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. ♥
