In His Footsteps

When someone does a kindness, it always seem to me

that’s the way God up in Heaven would like us all to be.

For when we bring some pleasure to another human heart,

We have followed in His footsteps and we’ve had a little part.

In serving God who loves us, for I’m very sure it’s true

That in serving those around us, we serve and please God too.

Climb Until Your Dream Comes True

Often your tasks will be many

and more than you think you can do;

Often the road will be rugged

and the hills insurmountable too.

Always remember,

the hills ahead are never as steep as they seem;

And with faith in your heart start upward

and climb ’till you reach your dream.

Nothing in life that is worthy
is ever too hard to achieve;
If you have the courage to try it
and you have the faith to believe.

Faith is a force that is greater

than knowledge or power or skill;
And many defeats turn to triumph

if you trust in God’s wisdom and will.

Faith is a mover of mountains

and there’s nothing that God cannot do;

So start out today with faith in your heart

and climb until your dream comes true.

Father's Are Wonderful People

Fathers are wonderful people

Too little understood

And we do not sing their praises

As often as we should.

For, somehow, Father seems to be

The man who pays the bills

While Mother binds up little hurts

And nurses all our ills.

And Father struggles daily

To live up to "his image"

As protector and provider

And "hero of the scrimmage."

And perhaps that is the reason

We sometimes get the notion

That Fathers are not subject

To the thing we call emotion.

But if you look inside Dad's heart

Where no one else can see

You'll find he's sentimental

And as "soft" as he can be.

But he's so busy every day

In the grueling race of life

He leaves the sentimental stuff

To his partner and his wife.

But Fathers are just wonderful

In a million different ways

And they merit loving compliments

And accolades of praise.

For the only reason Dad aspires

To fortune and success

Is to make the family proud of him

And to bring them happiness.

And like Our Heavenly Father

He's a guardian and a guide

Someone that we can count on

To be always on our side.

The Beauty of Friendship

Friendship is a priceless gift
That cannot be bought or sold
But its value is far greater

It cannot bring you comfort
Or reach out a helping hand

So when you ask God for a gift
Be thankful if He sends
Not diamonds, pearls or riches

This Too Shall Pass

The priceless gift of life is love,

For with the help of God above

Love can change the human race

And make this world a better place

For love dissolves all hate and fear

So we can see and rise above

On the Wings of a Prayer

Just close your Eyes and open your heart, And feel your worries and cares depart. Just yield yourself to the Father above, And let him hold you secure in his love. For life on earth grows more involved, With endless problems that can’t be solved, But God only ask us to do our best, Then he will take over and finish the rest…

So when you are tired, discouraged and blue, There is always one door that is open to you, And that is the door to The House of Prayer, And you’ll find God waiting to meet you there. And The House of Prayer is no further away, than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray. For the heart is a temple when God is there As we place ourselves in his loving care. And he hears every prayer and answers each one When we Pray in His name – Thy will be done. The burdens that seemed too heavy to bear Are lifted away on the wings of a prayer.
