Standing Firm!!

Always stand up for what’s right, even if it runs counter to what the crowd demands.

 [Christopher Gregory]

Romans 12:2 ... And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ephesians 6:14 ... Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

1 Cornthians 16:13 ... Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

"Will of God"

There is the permissive will of God and the perfect will of God. Know the difference between the two and try to walk in the latter.

[Christopher Gregory]

 ✞ ✞ ✞

1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 ... For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

Romans 12:2 ... And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ephesians 6:5-6 ... Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

1 Thessalonians 5:18 ... In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Peter 2:15-16 ... For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

Micah 6:8 ... He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Love More.

Just like in politics where they weaponize government, many today are weaponizing the gospel. It is destructive. How about we love more?

Be different, think different.

[Christopher Gregory]

John 13:34-35 ... A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Religion vs. Gospel

The Bible is a living, breathing document. How you read it will determine how you see Christ.

[Christopher Gregory]

2 Timothy 2:15 ... Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Study The Bible!!

Be careful that you don’t promote a preacher's words, ideas, commentary above your own, or worse, above the Bible itself. I see too much of this where one preacher becomes the final authority on a subject.

[Christopher Gregory]

 ✞  ✞  ✞

2 Timothy 2:15 ... Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

John 5:39 .... Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Acts 17:11 ...  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Justified by Faith!!

You will never, ever measure up to God’s standards. Your holiness efforts, your works, they are all 💩. It is your faith that justifies you. Nothing else.

We sin daily. So, what do you do with that?  The word states that we - you and I - fall short every day, because of sin. Not a lifestyle of sin, but because we are corruptible human beings. Sinless perfection will never be part of our spiritual DNA, only by faith can we please God. That's the real issue, men have attempted to surpass what Christ did already, thru works.

When we come to Christ, we are justified by what HE did, not by what we can do. That's the real issue, understanding that in this life we will fall (sin) make mistakes, error, choose bad choices, but here's the good news, Christ took all of that upon himself, so we don't have to.

We obey Christ by one thing only, we keep our faith specifically in the finished work of Calvary.

[Christopher Gregory]

Acts 13:39 ... And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Time Catches All...

There’s a certainty in life that no one can escape, so do everything you can to make your dreams reality, because time catches us all eventually.

[Christopher Gregory]

Psalm 90:12 ... So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

1 John 2:17 ...  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

James 4:14... Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Liberty in Christ!!

The religious mindset will never comprehend liberty in its perfect form. It’s not that we are walking away from Christ, we’re walking to where he is. That’s true spiritual maturity. Legalism, rituals, traditions, man-made concepts and ideas, will always resent enlightenment.

Be enlightened.

[Christopher Gregory]

Galatians 5:1 ... Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Icing a Cake!!

John stated in 1 John 1:8 that if we say we have no sin we lie. The issue is not a lifestyle of sinful behavior, that’s problematic in of itself. The issue is understanding and breaking free from the law which can only be accomplished when we understand the message of the cross.

Once we understand or grasp what the cross means, apply it to our life, that’s when grace comes into play. We pride ourselves in church, doing “churchy” things, but we fail to understand grace by the cross. Because the cross is the means by which we are set free. Religion will never accommodate that, it can’t.

It’s like icing a cake, every time turn it you find that you missed a spot. That’s works. Grace covers us completely.

[Christopher Gregory]

Galatians 5:1 ... Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Galatians 3:17-18 ... And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Romans 8:2 ... For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Corporate Religion

Pastor Tony Evans is stepping down due to a “sin” years ago.

This is why corporate religion masked as Christianity is so destructive, we punish people for things that they did years ago, why? To appease our traditions.

This is not grace. This is religion. I don’t know this man, but he did something years ago, so? Who hasn’t?

But, religion needs its pound of flesh. Grace forgives and forgets. Men, on the other hand…

He should have rejected calls to step down and just embrace the grace he was given by God.

[Christopher Gregory]

Isaiah 43:25 ... I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Psalm 103:12 ... As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Hebrews 8:12 ... For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

"The Tongue"

‘Life and death are in the power of the tongue’ does not mean one can speak things into existence, it means don’t be a jerk.

[Christopher Gregory]

Proverbs 8:21 ...  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

"The Church"

The church was never meant to be a denomination, political infrastructure, or a social club. It was designed to be a community committed to radical love, justice, and compassion for all.

[Christopher Gregory]

 ✞  ✞  ✞

Romans 12:5 ... So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Galatians 5:13 ...  For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Ephesians 4:5-6 ... One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Stop "Tithing"

When you tithe your hard-earned income, you aren’t tithing to receive anything in return, but that the machine can keep demanding more. It’s called Capitalism.

The wording (Tithe) itself is disingenuous because it implies an old covenant meaning that no longer exists. That’s why we should change the wording to reflect a more accurate interpretation and call it giving

But the mainstream traditionalists won’t do that because it is counterproductive to their agenda.

[Christopher Gregory]

2 Corinthians 9:7 ... Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Your Pastor ~

Q: How much authority does your pastor have over you?

 A: None.

Christ did not appoint little Popes over the church, he established servants.

[Christopher Gregory]

 ✞ ✞ ✞

Psalm 34:22 ... The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

John 12:16 ... If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Galatians 5:13 ... For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Not Works, But Grace

Going to church, reading the Bible, giving, praying, mission trips, are all good habits but they mean nothing compared to grace. Works, regardless how religious they are won’t keep you in the faith, but grace will.

[Christopher Gregory]

Ephesians 2:8-9 ... For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Bad Fruits...

Omens.
Religious Superstition.
Flat Earth.
Rapture hysteria.
Date setting.
Blood Moons.
Shemitah cycles.
Apocalyptic Paranoia.
AntiChrist Syndrome.
End Times Syndrome.
Tribulation paranoia.

These are the fruits of Dispensationalism.

We need to break away from this dangerous and harmful aspect of how we read into the bible.

[Christopher Gregory]

1 Timothy 1:4 ...  Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

Titus 1:14 ... Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

The Coming Future

During Noah's generation (2400BC), the world population stood between 4-10 billion. In that entire length of time, God found no one righteous; in other words, no single human living during that period served God except for Noah, who scripture states were unblemished and a preacher.

The world was evil, ruled by evil beings. This gives us two ideas to consider:

1. Noah remained faithful to God while the world (inhabitants) rejected God.
2. Jesus refers back to Noah to give us a glimpse of OUR world in the coming future, where something significant will occur that will make Christianity and all other religions currently - nonexistent.

This explains why we see subtle cracks in the faith today, with young people beginning to depart the faith as we move deeper into the 21st century.

[Christopher Gregory]

 ✞  ✞ ✞

Genesis 6:12-13 ... And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Matthew 24:37 ... But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 ... Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Made Known...

God is beyond our human comprehension, deeper than our imagination, and beyond our understanding. Yet the God of all creation took the time to make himself known to man.

[Christopher Gregory]

John 1:14 ... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Romans 1:19 ... Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

Jeremiah 29:13 ... You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Go Vote!!

I don't care about your political leanings; I do care, however, if you don't vote. Don't claim some spiritual or Christian superiority or how you see the nation as it is, but yet you fail to do your civic duty in one of the most democratic forms of governance in a free society, the ability to vote your conscience.

 A good Christian votes.

[Christopher Gregory]

Deuteronomy 1:13 ... Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.
