The Whole Armor

The world has its armor, like Goliath of Gath, its helmet of education, its spear of science, its sword of reason, its shield of cold indifference. But God has His anointed David today, not one but millions! We have the whole armor of God, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Word of God, and are shod with the footwear of peace. We need not be afraid, the battle is the Lord’s and ours the victory. Hallelujah!

[Reinhard Bonnke]

✞✞✞

Ephesians 6:14-17 ... Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;   And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

1 Samuel 17:47 ... And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands.

1 Corinthians 15:57 ... But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.❤

Our Part

If a one-thousand-ton block of iron had to be lifted by crane, how much could you help? Suppose you could get a grip on it and tried to heave and pull what difference would you make? There would be no difference, and it wouldn't help. But it is different with God. "He's got the whole world in his hand". Jesus said He had ALL power. That's surely enough!
Does that mean that we should sit idle? Far from it. You have a privileged and important part to play. What is it? What do hoist-operators do? They hook the load to the lifting gear! That's what our job is also. Don't try to lift everybody's burden all by yourself. That is only what God can do. Our simple task is to bring people to Him, and hook them to the lifting power of the Holy Spirit.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

Matthew 28:18-19 ... And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Acts 1:8 ... But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Jude 22-23 ... And of some have compassion, making a difference:  And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Romans 15:13 ... Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.🕊

Got Power?

An electric lamp is the most transparent object I know, no hidden faults, but just a mere ornament. In itself it is useless for anything – like us. Jesus said that without Him we could do nothing. We can be of transparent reputation, a model of virtue, an ornament of the church, but in ourselves we are useless. The electric lamp is not a lamp at all without power. We are in the same position, useless without power. Now look at the same dead bit of glass and wire when the current passes into it. What happens? The filament glows white hot, radiant. It gives light to all that are in the house. It is the power that makes the difference. Jesus said “You shall receive power…”  Got it?

[Reinhard Bonnke]

Acts 1:8 ... But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

1 Corinthians 4:20 ... For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Ephesians 6:10 ... Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.❤

In His Name ...

In the Old Testament, people called on the name of the Lord, but did not pray in his name. They presented themselves to God through faith in His promises. However, for New Testament believers, Jesus taught that in his name we have immediate favor. We get VIP treatment. The name of Jesus opens the door. God hears us. That is how we must pray, trusting in the grace of Christ.

Your name represents an imperfect person, but if you come in Christ's name, the angels stand aside while you enter the throne room. You are righteous and holy, and God finds no fault. In Christ, you wear a seamless robe of purity and holiness. It never stains, never tears, never grows shabby, but you are robed fit for the presence of the King at all times, every day.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

John 14:13 ... And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 15:16 ... Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

John 16:24 ... Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Ephesians 5:20 ... Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Hebrews 4:16 ... Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Only Jesus!

The story of Jesus doesn't end with a crucifixion. If it did, the cross would be a symbol of crushing defeat and despair. The good news is that Jesus not only destroyed the power of sin on the cross, he also destroyed the power of death. On the third day, he was raised back to life, triumphant over darkness, death and the devil. Jesus is still alive! He is here to reverse every curse and to cancel Satan's evil work. Sinners are forgiven. The sick are made well. Broken relationships are restored. Against the power of Jesus on the cross, the forces of evil will be finally defeated. This is why the cross is the symbol or logo of the Christian faith. It belongs to Jesus alone. No founder or leader of another religion would dare to use this logo because it stands for something that they themselves have never done! None of them has been crucified for the sins of the world. None of them has been raised from the dead. None of them can give us the help we so desperately need. Only Jesus is able to save us.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

John 14:6 ... Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4:12 ... Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Revelation 1:18 ... I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

It is Personal

Faith is not a mental exercise to believe the impossible, believing what we know is not true. It is not believing ‘something’ at all. Faith is trust in God. It is personal. In the Gospels Jesus never talks about believing something will happen, a miracle perhaps, but always about believing Him. Our destiny rests on faith. We are saved by faith.  The God we are to trust in is worthy as the God who loved us and gave His Son to bear our sins on the cross. God bless you.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

John 3:36 ... He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

1 John 5:13 ... These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1 Peter 1:21 ... Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

He Who Believes

It can be argued that this or that religion is better than another, but the Gospel offers only one thing – JESUS. He is the only One opening his arms to all people. Does anyone have another Jesus to offer? He is everything. He is the Alpha and Omega. The Lord said, “He who believes in me has everlasting life.”
Jesus is not a religion. He is a Person to meet and live by, the living Word. He is not a messenger from God. He is the Message and that what the messengers talked about. There is life in Him and that life comes to us through the Word of God.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

John 6:47 ... Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

John 5:24 ... Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

1 Timothy 1:6 ... Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

God's Identity

It is a striking thing that God's identity is linked to man. He was first known through the life of Abraham, and was called "the God of Abraham." The world's ideas about God came first from seeing what sort of man Abraham was. His life portrayed his God, and served as a recommendation for Him.

When Jacob first fled from home, and from the murderous threats of Esau, he referred to the Lord as the "God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac." That is how he identified God, by how their God had shaped their lives. This brought a sense of awe upon Jacob. He resolved that one-day, their God would be his God. He did not feel that that could be a reality, until his own life reflected his God. If the name of Jacob was to be associated with his fathers' God, he wanted to maintain the reputation of that God.

Some people say, for example, "I believe in my mother's God" or "I believe in Paul's God" or "I believe in Jean's God." People talk about presenting the Gospel ‘in a nutshell,"  but the Gospel can only be presented in a person. The Gospel is more than a formula for getting to heaven when you die. The Gospel offers life, not just a life belt. The essence of evangelism is to show what God is like.

Make this the cry of your heart today: "God, I want to be your bold evangelist, pointing the way to life in Christ Jesus."

[Reinhard Bonnke]

2 Corinthians 3:12 ... Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

Acts 4:31 ... And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

1 Peter 2:9 ...  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;   ❤

River People

Some Christians are always "in the wilderness."   They sigh deeply and say, "I'm going through another wilderness experience."  The Christian who is not in the river of the Holy Spirit is out of his element.   He's like the proverbial fish out of water. We are not called to be desert dwellers, like the people of Israel were for forty years, even though the Lord had promised them a land of rivers.   Christ has promised believers rivers, not as a rare exception, but as part of their natural environment.  We are not to be bank sitters, admirers of the passing waters, but river people instead. Jump in and God bless you.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

John 7:38 ...  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Isaiah 33:21 ... But there the glorious Lord will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

Isaiah 41:18 ...  I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

Revelation 22:1 ... And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.❤

Life As He Meant It

God is a Spirit.  We truly live when our spirit touches His Spirit.  Our capacity for it is there.  That is life as He meant it.  We all live and die, but with Him we live and never die. It is God who maintains our eternity.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

John 11:26 ... And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

John 3:36 ... He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 5:24 ... Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

The Cross

The cross is the great, profound, magnificent, unconquerable, unchangeable, and matchless truth.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

1 Corinthians 1:18 ... For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Galatians 6:14 ...  But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Hebrews 12:2 ... Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.❤

The Bow

When Noah saw the earth desolated by the flood, he must have been traumatized. Afterwards, whenever the skies grew dark overhead, he would need reassurance. God said, “I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth” (Genesis 9:13).

The rainbow is the flag of God, the seven-colored royal standard. No icon, no regimental colors and no imperial symbol could match that! The word “bow” in Genesis 9:13 (where it is translated “rainbow”) is the same Hebrew word as for a bow which is used to shoot arrows – a weapon of war, but what a weapon, spanning the whole horizon!

What mighty arrows it must shoot when God goes into battle against the devil! “The Lord will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior He will stir up His zeal; with a shout He will raise the battle cry and will triumph over His enemies” (Isaiah 42:13).

The rainbow is not a mere phenomenon of natural beauty but a divine reminder of God’s archery. The divine graphics span the whole Bible, for when we reach the book of Revelation we read. “A rainbow … encircled the throne … From the throne came flashes of lightning. ” (Revelation 4:3-5).

God’s mighty arrows. No wind can blow a rainbow away and no devil can switch it off. The battle truly belongs to the Lord. We all suffer life’s storms, when ominous blackness fills our skies, but that arching splendor of prismatic color in the rain cloud, seen with our mortal eyes, is the objective standard of God to reassure us. It is a sign of God’s love bent to the world and to us. Jesus said: “Be of good cheer, it is I.”  (Matthew 14:27)

We Believe

Christ’s coming brought the world a new springtime, new beginnings. The supernatural naturally produced miracles, as sunshine brings out the crocuses in spring. But crocuses are not why we believe in the sun, and miracles are not why we believe in Christ. It is the other way round – we believe in miracles because we believe in Jesus, the greatest of all miracles.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

Mark 9:23 ... Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. ❤

The Good News

There is no religion or message in the entire world like the Gospel. No religion in the world has a Cross and a Savior bearing the sins of the whole world. The Cross is the great, profound, magnificent, unconquerable, unchangeable, and matchless truth. It towers above all mere religious ideas.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 ... Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Acts 13:38-39 ... Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

1 Peter 3:18 ... For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: ❤

Truth Rises

If you bury a lie, it will rot. If you bury the truth, it will rise. That’s why the grave couldn’t hold Jesus. He is “the way the truth and the LIFE.”

[Reinhard Bonnke]

John 11:25 ... Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the LIFE: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

John 6:35 ... And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of LIFE: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

John 14:6 ... Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ❤

Calvary

The Bible grabs our arm and causes us to face the greatest of all examples of generosity: God’s donation of His Son for world salvation. Creation cost God nothing but our salvation cost Him everything. At the heart of Creation was a crown of thorns, Calvary.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

Romans 5:8 ... But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16 … For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 4:9 ... In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.❤
