Cycles ...

There have been 5 cycles of historical and social change over the past centuries:
The Protestant Reformation (1530s-1540s)
The Puritan Awakening (1630s-1640s)
The Pietist Awakening (1740s-1750s)
The Evangelical-Utopian Awakening (1830s-1840s)
The New Age Awakening (1960s-1970s)

We are now in the 6th cycle of change, the age of technology (1980s - present), or what most call the 4th revolution. In these periods of change, culture, education, economics, and religion, change was always an aspect of development and growth. They were not signs of the end.

Understanding the bible in relation to what was, what is, and what will be (future) is vital in understanding what Jesus taught, what Paul instructed, and what John saw. Otherwise, you get lopsided theology, which does not produce the fruit Christ desires for his church: Global evangelism.

 [Christopher Gregory]

Matthew 28:19-20 ...  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
