God Will

May we... Stay in the Word...  Pray in the Word...   Speak the Word...  God will perform it.

[Author Unknown]

Jeremiah 1:12 … Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

Ezekiel 22:14 … Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the Lord have spoken it, and will do it.

More Than Conquerors

If you have Jesus nothing can be against you. Your temptations will not be against you. Your bad temper will not be against you. Your hard life, your circumstances, even the devil himself will not be against you. Every time he comes to attack you, he will only root you deeper in Christ. You will become a coward at the thought of being alone; you will be thrown on Jesus every time a trouble confronts you. From now on, all things will work together for good to your spiritual welfare. Since God is for you - nothing can be against you.

[A.B. Simpson]

Romans 8:28 … And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:31 ... What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:37 ... Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Isaiah 54:17 ... No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Time is ...

Too slow... for those who wait.

Too swift... for those who fear.

Too long... for those who grieve.

Too short... for those who rejoice.

But for those who love... time is eternity.

Living Word

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 ❤

The Coming Storm

Earth is aging,
War is raging.

Storms are brewing,

Hatred stewing.

Fires are burning,
Seas are churning.

Earthquakes rumbling,
Stocks are tumbling.

Soldiers trenching,
Mobs are lynching.

Satan working,
Evil lurking.

Thieves are stealing,
Men are killing.

Voters sighing,
Leaders lying.

Oil is soaring,
Price deploring.

Food costs spiking,
Unions striking.

Disease reeling,
AIDS is chilling.

People swearing,
No one caring.

Armies forming,
Mothers mourning.

Sad new rule,
Bans God from school.

Signs are heeded,
Prayer needed,

Lives forsaken,
Babies taken.

Down and under,
Lots of plunder.

Brothers fighting,
Such backbiting.

Liberal creed,
We do not need.

Evil prophet,
None can stop it.

Man of sorrow,
Holds tomorrow.

Congress stalling,
Leaders brawling.

Tribulation,
Hits our nation.

God doth warn,
The coming storm.

[Author Unknown]

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24:21-22

Praise!

Don't let your problems be louder than your praise.

[Author Unknown]

Praise ye the Lord.

Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.

Praise ye the Lord.  Psalm 150:1-6

Mary Had a Little Lamb

Mary Had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went,
The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed her to school each day,
Twasn't even in the rule.
He made the children laugh and play.
To have a Lamb at school.

And then the rules all changed one day,
Illegal it became;
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak His Name.

Everyday got worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh,
We heard gun shots and tears.

What must we do to stop the crime,
That's in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school,
and teach our kids to pray!

Prayer of Jabez

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:10

The Resolution

I do solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children.

I will love them, protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home.

I will be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.

I will bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their strength.

I will train them to honor authority and live responsibly.

I will confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy.

I will pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect, and compassion.

I will work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.

I will forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.

I will learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.

I will seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His Word, and do His will.

I will courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.

Looking Forward

There is a reason God put our eyes on the front of our body... It's so we can see where we are going, and not where we have been.

Covenant with Israel

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.  Romans 11:26-27

I See Jesus

I saw Jesus last week.
He was wearing blue jeans and an old shirt.
He was up at the church building;
He was alone and working hard.
For just a minute he looked a little like one of our members.
But it was Jesus . . . I could tell by his smile.

I saw Jesus last Sunday.
He was teaching a Bible class.
He didn't talk real loud or use long words,
But you could tell he believed what he said.
For just a minute, he looked like my Bible teacher.
But it was Jesus . . . I could tell by his loving voice.

I saw Jesus yesterday.
He was at the hospital visiting a friend who was sick.
They prayed together quietly.
For just a minute he looked like Brother Jones.
But it was Jesus... I could tell by the tears in his eyes.

I saw Jesus this morning.
He was in my kitchen making my breakfast
and fixing me a special lunch.
For just a minute he looked like my mom.
But it was Jesus... I could feel the love from his heart.

I see Jesus everywhere,
Taking food to the sick,
Welcoming others to his home, Being friendly to a newcomer,
and for just a minute, I think he's someone I know.
But it's always Jesus... I can tell by the way he serves.

Pressing On

I see that there is a place for us in Christ Jesus where we are no longer under condemnation but where the heavens are always open to us. I see that God has a realm of divine life opening up to us where there are boundless possibilities, where there is limitless power, where there are untold resources, where we have victory over all the power of the devil. I believe that, as we are filled with the desire to press on into this life of true holiness, desiring only the glory of God, there is nothing that can hinder our true advancement.

[Smith Wigglesworth]

Romans 8:1 … There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:57 … But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 1:9 … Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Philippians 3:14 … I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  ❤

Dew

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.  Psalm 133:1-3

5 Important Lessons From a Humble Pencil

1. Everything you do will always leave a mark.

2. You can always correct the mistake you make.

3. The important thing in life is what you are from the inside.

4. In life you will undergo painful sharpening which will make you better in whatever you do.

5. Finally, to be the best you can be, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you.

Pray About Everything

The great antidote to anxiety is to come to God in prayer. We are to pray about everything. Nothing is too big for Him to handle, and nothing is too small to escape His attention.

One Step at a Time

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1 Corinthians 13

Cleansed

We can be assured that each step deeper into the Lord's Presence will reveal areas in our hearts which need to be cleansed. Do not be afraid. When the Spirit shows you areas of sin, it is not to condemn you, but to cleanse you.

Psalm 51:2 ...  Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Psalm 51:10 ... Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Hebrews 12:6 ... For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

The Legend of the Sand Dollar

There’s a lovely little legend
That I would like to tell,
Of the birth and death of Jesus
Found in this lowly shell.

If you examine closely
You’ll see that you find here,
Four nail holes and a fifth one
Made by a Roman’s spear.

On one side the Easter Lily,
Its center is the star,
That appeared unto the shepherds
And led them from afar.

The Christmas Poinsettia
Etched on the other side,
Reminds us of His birthday
Our happy Christmastide.

Now break the center open
And here you will release,
The five white doves awaiting
To spread Good Will and Peace.

This simple little symbol
Christ left for you and me,
To help us spread His Gospel
Through all Eternity.

For His Glory

For the believer all pain has meaning; all adversity is profitable. There is no question that adversity is difficult. It usually takes us by surprise and seems to strike where we are most vulnerable. To us it often appears completely senseless and irrational, but to God none of it is either senseless or irrational. He has a purpose in every pain He brings or allows in our lives. We can be sure that in some way He intends it for our profit and His glory.

[Jerry Bridges]

Ecclesiastes 7:14 ... In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.

1 Peter 1:3 ...  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Romans 8:18 ... For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. ❤

Independence Day

We gather ‘round to celebrate
On Independence Day
Pay homage to our country
As the children run and play.

With barbeques and picnics
And fireworks in the air
The flag we own is proudly flown
To show how much we care.

The stars and stripes spell freedom
She waves upon the breeze
While bursts of colors can be seen
Above the towering trees.

This is all quite wonderful
We revel in delight
But God above in divine love
brought this day to light.

With just a stroke of liberty
A touch of His great hand
He gave democracy to us
And helped this country stand.

The stripes upon our stately flag
Were touched by His sweet grace
Each star of white that shines so bright
Reflects His loving face.

So as you turn to face the flag
For battles that were fought
Be filled with pride for those who died
And freedoms that were bought.

But don’t forget to thank the One
That gives the bright display
The reason why we paint the sky
On Independence Day.

[Marilyn Ferguson]

John 8:36 ... If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

2 Corinthians 3:17 ... Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Galatians 5:1 ... Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Galatians 5:13 ... For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Psalm 119:45 ... And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

Friends

The Christian will be sure to make enemies. It will be one of his objects to make none; but if doing what is right and believing what is true should cause him to lose every earthly friend, he will regard it as a small loss, since his great Friend in heaven will be even more friendly and will reveal Himself to him more graciously than ever.

[Alistair Begg]

John 15:18-19 ... If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

1 John 3:13 ... Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Psalm 50:23 ... Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Climb Until Your Dream Comes True

Often your tasks will be many
and more than you think you can do;
Often the road will be rugged
and the hills insurmountable too.

Always remember,
the hills ahead are never as steep as they seem;
And with faith in your heart start upward
and climb ’till you reach your dream.

Nothing in life that is worthy
is ever too hard to achieve;
If you have the courage to try it
and you have the faith to believe.

Faith is a force that is greater
than knowledge or power or skill;
And many defeats turn to triumph
if you trust in God’s wisdom and will.

Faith is a mover of mountains
and there’s nothing that God cannot do;
So start out today with faith in your heart
and climb until your dream comes true.

[Helen Steiner Rice]

Mark 9:23 ... Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Matthew 21:21 ... Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Philippians 4:13 ... I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. ❤
