Earthen Vessels

God did not choose fine china to hold His most precious treasure. He chose jars of clay. The jars are common, fragile, of little value in themselves, and will break sooner or later. It’s what’s inside the jars that makes them priceless.

The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter! Lamentations 4:2
