The True Meaning of Christmas

If you don't think this time of year is that important and it's just another holiday to partake in revelry and spending money just to spend money, you truly don't understand the significance of Christmas.

Nearly 2,000 years ago, a cosmic event took place in the universe, where God, in mercy for his creation, literally, as well as physically, left his throne and ruptured our universe, the very realm of space he created by coming to earth, to be born a man, fully flesh and fully God.

When Christ was born, the entire universe, heaven and the third heaven shouted with great joy - why? Because for nearly 6,000 years, all of creation was under the cruel master of sin and death. Satan had control, his kingdom spanned across the galaxy - but one particular night, that control, that dark empire was shattered with the news a child was born, in the City of David who was Christ the Lord.

Though a King tried to kill him, though Satan tried to exterminate his birth, freedom rang out, for within 33 years later, man would be set free from the law of sin and death and re-claim his position because of God coming into the world.

Let the world know that the child is no longer a child, but a soon returning King, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

[Christopher Gregory]

1 Timothy 3:16 ... And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. ❤
