His Commandments

If God would have wanted us to live in a permissive society He would have given us Ten Suggestions and not Ten Commandments.

[Zig Ziglar November 6, 1926 - November 28, 2012]

John 14:15 ... If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:21 ... He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

1 John 5:2-3 ... By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

1 John 2:3 ...  And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

Come To the Well

If you have searched so many places
Yet, your heart is empty friend,
There is a well of living water
That will fill your void within.

Jesus Christ, the pure Water of Life
  Offers an endless supply,
You may partake to your heart’s content
His well shall never run dry.

Though this world offers many pleasures
  Not one could ever compare,
With abundant life that we receive
When we meet the Master there.

Oh, come to the well my seeking friend
Receive new life – be made whole,
Come To The Well of living water
He will satisfy your soul.

[Connie Campbell Bratcher]

Revelation 22:17 ... And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Be Back Soon ~

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:1-3

Be BOLD!

Boldness is used in Scripture as a measure of faith.  The more you exercise your faith in God, the bolder you will be in your Christian walk with the Lord.  Lay aside all doubt.  Believe and be bold. Be bold in Christ! Amen. RL.

Ephesians 3:12 … In whom we have BOLDNESS and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Hebrews 10:19 … Having therefore, brethren, BOLDNESS to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

1 Timothy 3:13 … For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great BOLDNESS in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 4:16 … Let us therefore come BOLDLY unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Acts 4:31 … And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with BOLDNESS.

1 John 4:17 … Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have BOLDNESS in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Proverbs 28:1 … The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are BOLD as a lion.

Marriage

One Man, One Woman, and Christ

Ecclesiastes 4:12 ...  And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Matthew 19:6 ... Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Ephesians 5:24-25 ... Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

A Woman's Work

A man came home from work and found his five children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn around garden, the door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and no sign of the dog.

Walking in the door, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, the throw rug was against one wall. In the front room the TV was on loudly with the cartoon channel, the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.

As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?" She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world do I do all day?" "Yes," was his incredulous reply. She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."

I Will Rejoice

•♥•✿ڿڰۣ(̆̃̃•♥ღڿڰۣ•♥(̆̃̃ღ•♥•ڿڰۣ(̆̃̃ღ•♥•

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.  Psalm 100

On Tolerance ~

The true man of God is heartsick, grieved at the worldliness of the Church, grieved at the toleration of sin in the Church, grieved at the prayerlessness in the Church. He is disturbed that the corporate prayer of the Church no longer pulls down the strongholds of the devil.

[Leonard Ravenhill]

1 Timothy 6:3-5 ... If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;  He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

1 John 2:15-17 ... Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Are You Ready?

Ready feet to do Thy will,
Ready hands to serve Thee still,
Ready mind Thy voice to hear,
Ready drooping hearts to cheer,
Ready every foe to face,
Ready still to shew Thy grace;
Ready every need to meet,
Ready to wash erring feet.
Ready still to watch and pray,
Ready all the livelong day.
Ready if to lose or gain,
Ready if 'tis joy or pain,
Ready when the Savior's near,
Ready when dark clouds appear;
Ready when the storm is high,
Ready through a cloudless sky;
Ready, Lord, to meet with Thee,
Ready for eternity.

[Author Unknown]

Acts 26:16 … But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

1 Peter 3:15 … But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 Timothy 6:18-19 … That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

2 Timothy 2:1-3 ...Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Life More Abundantly

In Christ one will find deep sorrow. pain and great suffering coupled with great joy, celebration and exuberance, passion and contentment, every emotion and many diverse experiences, adventures and astonishment. You will witness the ugliness of the human condition at it's worse, and the beauty of human restoration and healing at it's best. The abundant life is the fullness and all it has to offer, pity on those whom never experience HIM!

[Danny Peace]

John 10:10 ... The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Thanks-Living

Thanksgiving is good but thanks-living is better.

[Matthew Henry]

1 Chronicles 16:8 ... Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

Colossians 3:15 ... And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 ... In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Badge

To be found in Christ, not having our own righteousness, which is of the law, but having the righteousness which is of God by faith (Philippians 3:9), is a very prominent badge of a real servant of God, and to refuse it is to manifest opposition to the glory of God, and to the name, person, and work of his exalted Son.

[Charles H. Spurgeon]

Proverbs 11:23 ... The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

1 John 2:15 ... Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

3 John 1:11 ... Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

2 Corinthians 6:17 ... Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

James 1:21 … Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.❤

In the Heavens

Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. Psalm 36:5-9

Eternal Good

Troubled soul, the "much tribulation" will soon be over, and as you enter the "kingdom of God" you shall then see, no longer "through a glass darkly" but in the unshadowed sunlight of the Divine presence, that "all things" did "work together" for your personal and eternal good.

[A.W. Pink]

Romans 8:28 ... And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

2 Corinthians 4:18 ... While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

John 16:33 ... These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

1 Corinthians 15:49 ... And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Hope and Strength

The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. Joel 3:16

He's Always There

We can't foresee the turning of the tide.
When problems beset us and tears are cried.
The enemy seeks to devour and destroy,
Using deceptions to eliminate our joy.

While walking through the valley,
our heads hung low,
The mountain top seems so high,
our footsteps slow.

How many times have we traveled this road
To battle the frustrations of troubles bestowed?
Yet when we come to our darkest hour
God demonstrates His infinite power.

It doesn't matter how bad things might seem,
He always comes through, our faith to redeem.
God will not fail us in our times of pain.
He'll never forsake us, by our side He'll remain.

So when we find ourselves at a total loss
Or when the valley seems too wide to cross,
Just remember you're in His love and care,
Look over your shoulder, He's always there!

[Author Unknown]

Joshua 1:5 ...  There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Isaiah 41:10 ...  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Lamentations 3:23 ... They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

I'll Be Back

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.  1 Thessalonians 4:14-18

The Bow

When Noah saw the earth desolated by the flood, he must have been traumatized. Afterwards, whenever the skies grew dark overhead, he would need reassurance. God said, “I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth” (Genesis 9:13).

The rainbow is the flag of God, the seven-colored royal standard. No icon, no regimental colors and no imperial symbol could match that! The word “bow” in Genesis 9:13 (where it is translated “rainbow”) is the same Hebrew word as for a bow which is used to shoot arrows – a weapon of war, but what a weapon, spanning the whole horizon!

What mighty arrows it must shoot when God goes into battle against the devil! “The Lord will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior He will stir up His zeal; with a shout He will raise the battle cry and will triumph over His enemies” (Isaiah 42:13).

The rainbow is not a mere phenomenon of natural beauty but a divine reminder of God’s archery. The divine graphics span the whole Bible, for when we reach the book of Revelation we read. “A rainbow … encircled the throne … From the throne came flashes of lightning. ” (Revelation 4:3-5).

God’s mighty arrows. No wind can blow a rainbow away and no devil can switch it off. The battle truly belongs to the Lord. We all suffer life’s storms, when ominous blackness fills our skies, but that arching splendor of prismatic color in the rain cloud, seen with our mortal eyes, is the objective standard of God to reassure us. It is a sign of God’s love bent to the world and to us. Jesus said: “Be of good cheer, it is I.”  (Matthew 14:27)

Tree

I want to be unmovable and unshakable
So, let my roots go down deep
Unmovable and unshakable in You.

I want to be like a tree
Planted by the streams of living water.

This will be my song, God
This will be my prayer
‘Til the end, ‘til the end.

In the midst of the coming storm
In the midst of the coming blessing
That my life will be built upon the rock.

And I will not be moved
I will not be shaken.

[sung by: Justin Rizzo]

Psalm 1:3 ... And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalm 16:8 ... I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Psalm 62:6 ... He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

The word LISTEN contains the same letters as the word SILENT.

[Alfred Brendel]

Proverbs 25:12 ... As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.

Proverbs 1:5 ... A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

James 1:19 ... Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: ❤

The Cross

No matter how you approach the cross...
It is always rough...
It is always rugged...
It is always splintery...
It is always inconvenient...
But, the flesh always has to die.

[Author Unknown]

Matthew 16:24 ... Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Galatians 6:14 ... But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

1 Corinthians 15:31 ...  I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

My Politics

The whole system of my politics is summed up in this one verse,
"The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble!" Psalm 99:1

The times look awfully dark indeed; and as the clouds grow thicker–the stupidity of the nation seems proportionally to increase. If the Lord had not a remnant here, I would have very formidable apprehensions. But He loves His children; some are sighing and mourning before Him, and I am sure He hears their sighs, and sees their tears. I trust there is mercy in store for us at the bottom; but I expect a shaking time before things get into a right channel–before we are humbled, and are taught to give Him the glory.

The state of the nation, the state of the churches–both are deplorable! Those who should be praying–are disputing and fighting among themselves! Alas! how many professors are more concerned for the mistakes of government–than for their own sins!

Free Will in Light of God's Sovereignty

An Ocean liner leaves New York bound for Liverpool. Its destination has been determined by proper authorities. Nothing can change it. This is at least a faint picture of sovereignty.

On board the Liner are several scores of passengers. These are not in chains, neither are their activities determined for them by decree. They are completely free to move about as they will. They eat, sleep, play, lounge about on the deck, read, talk, altogether as they please; but all the while the great Liner is carrying them steadily onward toward a predetermined port.

Both freedom and sovereignty are present here and they do not contradict each other. So it is, I believe, with man's freedom and the sovereignty of God. The mighty Liner of God's sovereign design keeps its steady course over the sea of history. God moves undisturbed and unhindered toward the fulfillment of those eternal purposes which He purposed in Christ Jesus before the world began. We do not know all that is included in those purposes, but enough has been disclosed to furnish us with a broad outline of things to come and to give us hope and firm assurance of future well-being.

[A.W. Tozer]

Proverbs 16:9 ... A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

Strike ~

When Satan strikes ... strike back with the Word of God.

Ephesians 6:12 ... For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:17 ... And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Hebrews 4:12 ... For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 … For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

After the Election ~

1. God will still be on His throne.

2. Jesus will still be King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

3. The Bible will still have all the answers to every problem.

4. The tomb will still be empty.

5. Jesus will still be the only way to heaven.

6. Prayer will still work - it will still make a difference and God will still answer prayer.

7. The cross, not the government, will still be our salvation.

8. There will still be room at the cross.

9. Jesus will still save anyone who places their faith and trust in Him.

10. God will still be with us always - He will never leave us or forsake us.

[message from the Internet]

John 11:25-26 ...  Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Steadfast Heart

Give us, O Lord, steadfast hearts that cannot be dragged down by false loves; give us courageous hearts that cannot be worn down by trouble; give us righteous hearts that cannot be sidetracked by unholy or unworthy goals. Give to us also, our Lord and God, understanding to know You, wisdom to recognize You, and a faithfulness that will bring us to see You face to face.

[Thomas A. Kempis]

1 Samuel 12:24 ... Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

Proverbs 4:5 ...  Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Psalm 57:7 ... My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. ❤

Vote and ...

Choose Wisely ~
- who will encourage, accommodate, tolerate the Christian religion, not hinder or prohibit it. (Hate crime legislation is upon us which could eventually make it illegal to preach against homosexuality or abortion... And don't forget the Supreme Court ruling regarding the Boy Scouts. We are one Supreme Court vote away from forcing the Boy Scouts to accept homosexual scout leaders. If that happens, will the churches be next?)

 - who recognize the Biblical family structure. "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27) God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Henry. He intended marriage to be between a man and a woman. Vermont has already OK'd same-sex marriage. This is an attack against the very Biblical and ancient foundations of the institution of marriage itself.

 - who value human life from conception till death. God is the God of life, Jesus is life and both are very much against the taking of human life. What does the candidate believe about the value of human life not only after the baby has been born but five minutes before being born, or while it is halfway born? (Roe vs. Wade)

 - who place a value on justice and fairness for the oppressed and the poor, both of which get plenty of attention in scripture.

who reflect a Christian lifestyle and character. "When the righteous rule, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan." (Proverbs 29:2) "Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people." (Proverbs 14:34)

 - who encourage personally responsibility for one's life, for the willingness to work and take care of one's self as one is able. "If a man won't work, neither shall he eat." (2 Thessalonians 3:10)

Put God's Kingdom First. (Matthew 6:33) Salvation from sin will never be found in human politics. It will only be found in God's kingdom. This is simply to say that our own worst social problems will never be solved merely by government, by electing new legislators or passing new laws. The human heart must be changed, and only God is up to that task.

The Pearl Oyster

I wish, brothers and sisters, that we could all imitate "the pearl oyster"--A hurtful particle intrudes itself into its shell, and this vexes and grieves it. It cannot reject the evil, but what does it do but "cover" it with a precious substance extracted out of its own life, by which it turns the intruder into a pearl! Oh, that we could do so with the provocations we receive from our fellow Christians, so that pearls of patience, gentleness, and forgiveness might be bred within us by that which otherwise would have harmed us.

[Charles H. Spurgeon]

Galatians 5:22 ... But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

James 1:2-4 ... My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Matthew 18:35 ... So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

... is not in the elephant.
America's hope is in the Lamb!

Believer ~

I believe that Yeshua Jesus was crucified, died, and was buried.  I believe that Yeshua Jesus rose on the third day.  I believe that Yeshua Jesus appeared to many and now sits at the right hand of the Father.  I believe that one day... He's coming back! RL

1 Corinthians 15:2-4 ... By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Acts 2:32-33 ... This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.  Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Revelation 1:7-8 ... Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Completely Human

When a bookstore owner told me a woman had stomped into his shop, angry, slamming one of my books on the counter, I knew exactly what he was talking about.  I wrote that Jesus may have had pimples.  He may have had bony knees. But I said, “One thing’s for sure, he was, while completely divine, completely human.”

Where’s something safe about a God who never had calluses? There’s something majestic about a God who never scraped his elbow. But there’s also something cold about a God who cannot relate to what you and I feel.
Rejection? He felt it. Temptation? He knew it. Loneliness? He experienced it. Death? He tasted it. And stress? He could write a best-selling book about it. Why did he do it? One reason. So that when you hurt, you’ll go to him and let him heal you!

[Max Lucado]

Hebrews 4:15 ... For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Philippians 2:5-8 ...  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Acts 10:38 ... How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. ❤

Everlasting Salvation

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?

Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away. Isaiah 51:9-11
