Sheman Zayit Zach

Pure Olive Oil is the first drop of oil when the olive is first squeezed or pressed.
Sheman means to shine or to make oily.

A land of Olive Oil is one of the seven blessings promised when Israel conquered Canaan.

 Yeshua/Jesus went to the Mount of Olives to a place called Gethsemane which means oil-press. There in Gethsemane He began His journey of prayer where he was hard pressed. 
Exodus 25:6 ... Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,
Exodus 27:20 ... And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.


Leviticus 24:2 ... Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.


Deuteronomy 8:7-9 ... For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;  A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

Luke 22:39-41 ... And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, ✞
