The Only Thing That Matters

The only thing that matters in this life is not how much money you made in your lifetime, nor if you married the prettiest girl in school, or had a "name" in life. None of that will even matter when you breathe your last breath. Your wealth, your popularity, your worldly achievements while on earth might have been celebrated, will burn up in the echelon of eternity.
It won't matter how many friends you had, if you were applauded by men, reaping many rewards - none of it will matter. The fact is, the only thing which will count when you give up the ghost is this - were you saved? Did you repent? Was everything right between you and God when your heart stops beating? Your works, all of them, every claim you could boast of will not matter when the sheet is laid over your face, the lid is closed and you are lowered into the ground - none of that will matter.
The only thing which will last was did you have a personal relationship with Christ. We spend too much time investing in tomorrow, when in reality we need to be investing in eternity. Sadly, many never realize this until it's too late. Don't let that happen to you, whether you're 12 or 82, for death comes for all, yet Christ keeps deaths final grip from your soul. Think about it.
[Christopher Gregory]
Ecclesiastes 2:11 ... Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
Psalm 68:20 ... He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death.
Hebrews 9:27-28 ... And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Acts 4:12 ... Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

1 Corinthians 15:54 ... So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.❤
