True, genuine Conservatism is not based on a Republican ideology, but in fact roots directly from the word of God. The Christian faith is, in fact, a conservative movement. This is why Liberalism, Marxism and its branches such as Communism and Socialism run counter to the gospel because it stands opposed to the faith. When Satan began his war against God, he did so by Liberal thinking, that is to say, he said "I will make myself like the Most High.", that is, in fact, the very heart of what we know as Liberalism, to open one's mind to the Etymology of liberal thinking. In other words, man thinks he can run counter to what God has declared throughout his entire word of what is right and wrong, how we should live, and what we should hate.
That is the agenda of Liberalism, it stands opposed to Christian Conservatism. Which is why we, who are in Christ, must never bend, engage or embrace liberal thinking, no matter how well-intentioned it might seem. It is evil in its true motives and desires all who would accept it to bend their knee to its purpose, which is to war against God and the cross. That is why I am a Conservative, because it's right.
