Mother's Day

They build the world with love and care

One infant at a time.

Their work does more than courts and kings

To rid the world of crime.

The interest on the gifts they bring

This world could never pay.

And so, we pause to honor them

Each year on Mother’s Day.

[Wendell W. Welling]

Isaiah 49:1 ... Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

1 Timothy 5:1-3 ... Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity. Honour widows that are widows indeed.

Proverbs 31:27-28 ... She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

Deuteronomy 5:16 ... Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
