Testimony

Yeshua Jesus ... is my story.

Lamentations 3:58 ... O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.

Isaiah 53:5 ... But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Revelation 12:11 ... And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. ❤

1 John Exam

1. Do you enjoy having fellowship with Christ and His redeemed people? That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.  1 John 1:3

2. Would people say you walk in the light, or walk in the darkness?
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.   1 John 1:6-7

3. Do you admit and confess your sin?
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  1 John 1:8

4. Are you obedient to God’s Word?
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.  1 John 2:3-5

5. Does your life indicate you love God rather than the world?
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  1 John 2:15

6. Is your life characterized by “doing what is right”?
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.  1 John 2:29

7. Do you seek to maintain a pure life?
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.  1 John 3:3

8. Do you see a decreasing pattern of sin in your life?
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.  1 John 3:5-6

9. Do you demonstrate love for other Christians?
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1 John 3:14

10. Do you “walk the walk,” versus just “talking the talk”?
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.  And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.  1 John 3:18-19

11. Do you maintain a clear conscience?
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.  1 John 3:21

12. Do you experience victory in your Christian walk?
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4

Because He Lives

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

God is Love

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8 ❤

When The Roll is Called Up Yonder

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,

And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.

On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

[James M. Black 1893]

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 ❤

That's God

Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like doing something nice for someone you care for?  THAT'S GOD... He talks to you through the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to talk to?  THAT'S GOD... He wants you to talk to Him.

Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a long time and then next thing you know you see them or receive a phone call from them?  THAT'S GOD... there is no such thing as "coincidence."

Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for? Like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you wanted, but couldn't afford?  THAT'S GOD... He knows the desires of your heart.

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it is going to get better, but now as you look back on it, you got through it? THAT'S GOD... He passes us through tribulation to see a brighter day.

All I Need

You can never learn that Christ is all you need, until Christ is all you have.

[Corrie Ten Boom]

Philippians 4:19 ... But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Standing Before God

A beloved minister, who was noted for his Christ-like spirit, as well as his consecrated life, dreamed that he had died and suddenly appeared before the gates of Heaven, knocking for admission.

He gave his name, only to be told that his name did not appear upon the books. At last, after earnest pleading, he was bidden to enter and was told he would have the privilege of appearing before the judge...
of all the earth, and if he could stand his test he might abide in heaven forever.

Standing before the throne, he gave his name, and the following questions were put to him: "Have you led a righteous life?" And he said: "No." "Have you always been kind and forgiving to those who have been around you?" "Alas, no, I have miserably failed here." "Have you always been honest and just?" And he answered, "I fear not."

As question after question was put to him by the judge, his case seemed more and more hopeless. The last question was asked to him, and once again he had to answer in the negative. Just when he seemed to be in despair the brightness about the throne became brighter and suddenly he heard a voice, sweeter than a mother's voice. The speaker said: "My Father, I know this man. It is true he was weak in many ways, but he stood for me in the world, and I take his place before Thee."

Just as the last words of the sentence were spoken, the dream was over and the man awoke. But he had learned his lesson, and so we all. We have in ourselves no standing before God. It must be in Christ.

[Author Unknown]

Acts 4:12 ... Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 3:23-24 ... For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Hebrews 7:25 ... Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

To me, it has been a source of great comfort and strength in the day of battle, just to remember that the secret of steadfastness, and indeed, of victory, is the recognition that the Lord is at hand.

Father's Are Wonderful People

Fathers are wonderful people
Too little understood
And we do not sing their praises
As often as we should.

For, somehow, Father seems to be
The man who pays the bills
While Mother binds up little hurts
And nurses all our ills.

And Father struggles daily
To live up to "his image"
As protector and provider
And "hero of the scrimmage."

And perhaps that is the reason
We sometimes get the notion
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion.

But if you look inside Dad's heart
Where no one else can see
You'll find he's sentimental
And as "soft" as he can be.

But he's so busy every day
In the grueling race of life
He leaves the sentimental stuff
To his partner and his wife.

But Fathers are just wonderful
In a million different ways
And they merit loving compliments
And accolades of praise.

For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness.

And like Our Heavenly Father
He's a guardian and a guide
Someone that we can count on
To be always on our side.

The Second Appearing

Jesus will come bathed in radiant splendor, enveloped within an atmosphere of indescribable brilliance, surrounded by the ear-piercing praise of angels and saints. Scintillating light shining from His eyes. Irresistible power pouring from His hands. None will deny His beauty or escape its transforming energy.

[Sam Storms]

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords. Revelation 19:11-16

Power in His Name

Prayer Life

No man is greater than his prayer life.
The pastor who is not praying is playing;
The people who are not praying are straying.
The pulpit can be a shop window to display one’s talents;
The prayer closet allows no showing off.
[Leonard Ravenhill]

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.   But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.  Matthew 6:5-6 ❤

Famous Words of Moses

Most everyone is familiar with Moses' saying, "Let my people go."  But how many realize that these are not his own words?   These are the words of God. And more importantly, how many know the rest of the quote?

God told Moses to say to Pharaoh, "Let my people go so that they may serve Me." Not just "let my people go," but let my people go with a purpose.  And not just any purpose, but that they may serve the Almighty.

Exodus 7:16 ...  And thou shalt say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.

Exodus 8:1 ... And the Lord spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Exodus 8:20 ... And the Lord said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.❤

Things God Won't Ask ...

... on THAT day ~

1. God won't ask what kind of car you drove.
He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

2. God won't ask the square footage of your house.
He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

3. God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet.
He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.

4. God won't ask what your highest salary was.
He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.

5. God won't ask what your job title was.
He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

6. God won't ask how many friends you had.
He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

7. God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived.
He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.

8. God won't ask about the color of your skin.
He'll ask about the content of your character.

▲ Warning ▲

If sinners will be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our bodies. And if they will perish, let them perish with our arms around their knees, imploring them to stay. If hell must be filled, at least let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go there unwarned and unprayed for.

[Charles H. Spurgeon]

Ezekiel 3:18 ... When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 ... I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Isaiah 61:1 … The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:   And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.  Joel 2:28-29

In the Heart

God hears what is not spoken and understands what is not explained, for His love doesn't work in the lips or in the mind, but in the heart.

Psalm 139:1-4 ...  O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.  Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.  Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.  For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

Romans 5:5 ... And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

1 Samuel 16:7 ... But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. ❤

Just Passing Through

Stop and smell the flowers, Give thanks to God above. That He showers us with beauty, And gives us so much love.

Listen to someones troubles, Tho you have plenty of your own.  They'll be so every grateful,  For the kindness you have shown.

Take time to help a stranger, And you'll make another friend.  For tomorrow he may be gone,
And not come your way again.

Bend down to help a little child, And wipe his tears away. The many things you need to do, They'll wait another day.

God will keep you in His graces, For a good deed now and then. So leave a lot of loving memories, You may not pass this way again.

[Winnie Lovett]

John 13:34 ... A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Luke 10:27 ... And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

Hebrews 6:10 … For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.  ❤

Judgment Seat

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Romans 14:10-12 ❤

Two Things

There are two things we cannot do alone.  One is to be married and the other is to be a Christian.

[Paul Tournier]

1 Corinthians 1:9God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

John 15:5 … I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Romans 14:7-8 … For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone.  If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.  ❤

Reaching Upwards

Like the trees of the forest, may you find nourishment in rain as well as sunshine, Bend with the winds of misfortune without breaking;  Give of yourself to others to provide shade from the blistering heat, Grow old gracefully and not become rigid or unbending;  and above all ...  May you keep reaching ever upwards towards heaven and to God.

Jude 1:21 … Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
