Christmas

We see Christmas only when we truly see the Lord. It was one great leap from the throne of God to that manger in the stable; from the top of glory to the bottom of humiliation; from the bosom of God to the breast of His mother.

He put on humanity that we might put on Divinity. He loved us so that for our sakes He, through whom time was made, was made in time; and He, older by eternity than the world itself, was younger in age than many of His servants in the world.

He, who made man, was made man; He who made a tree, had come to earth to die on a tree so that we might have eternal life.

His birth was an event so miraculous that all heaven was awed with the wonder of it all.

Luke 2: 9-14 ... And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
