Afflictions for the present are not joyous, but in process of time God works by them in our souls the peaceable fruits of righteousness. He sends them for this purpose, and there is no fruit clustering upon the branch so holy, so precious, and so God-glorifying as a surrendered will.
[Mary Winslow]

2 Corinthians 4:17 … For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
1 Thessalonians 1:6 … And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.❤
