The Pound Cake

Life is a fascinating thing, it hits us with amazing events, some sad, some happy, but in every aspect of its nature, it’s always unpredictable. Such as this picture from the Deep South Easter, when a tornado ripped thru this house destroying everything in its path, except one thing, the pound cake that sits virtually untouched by the chaos around it.

It’s the same in life with Christ, that even when the worst storms come, God supernaturally protects us from the winds of life and keeps us from all harm. We might suffer at times, we might have sorrow and pain, but through it all Christ stands with us, reminding us that he still controls the unpredictability of life.

[Christopher Gregory]

Psalm 91:2-3 … I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
