This Election ...

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I write to you in most desperate times. This wonderful country we live in today is before us asking, “What shall we do to preserve what we now have?”
I am sure you have heard this plea mentioned many times through the media (at least the Fox network) so I will not repeat all they have said regarding the election choices before us. Most of us, if not all, have prayed to the Lord regarding our nation. Although this nation has seemingly turned it’s back on God in many areas, I still feel hope that the Lord will heal our nation and hear our pleas. I am reminded of Genesis chapter 8 where the prayers of Abraham saved the life of Lot and his family. Abraham simply asked God that if there were only 10 people who honored and worshipped Him, would God still destroy the city?” and God in His generous and compassionate heart replied, “No.”
We find ourselves in a similar situation today at this crucial time. The “beast” has shown it’s face through the violent demonstrations across this country in so called “protests” and has vowed to do many things to change this country radically, thus putting an end to the land we love and have known. Please continue to pray over our President and this nation. The Bible says that through Christ we are righteous, and it also states that the prayers of a righteous man availeth much. The awesome power of genuine prayer has been given to us to use in times such as this. Use it, carry the sword of truth at your side and do not go into battle unarmed.
This election is not about political parties but of good verses evil. Therefore it has become a spiritual battle more than a political one, so we then must use the appropriate weapons for the battle we face. Vote? Yes, but we can only vote once, however we can pray often and continuously before the Lord.
I thank the Lord on high for such fine Christian warriors as yourselves. May His blessings shine brightly upon you all. We are truly the light in dark hours. Disperse the enemy and their evil plots by the light which shines within you. In Romans 13:12 it says, "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light."
Let your light shine brightly before this world, revealing the truth and cancelling out there lies. Networks and social media alike have tried to put a blanket over the truth, but they have forgotten about us. We, God’s people who serve a mighty king who can rip that blanket in two, letting the light of truth shine out.
God can, and has, done many miracles, yet when He does them they are almost always created through His people. His hand stretches forth, but know good and well, it is us (the body of Christ) which is the hand stretching forth. You were created for such a time as this. Shine forth, be whom God has made you to be.
