Prayer and Fasting isn't about obtaining favor with God and impressing Him.
It helps us to be more Spirit Focused and less controlled by our flesh by denying our flesh and whatever it is that it craves most. It helps to cast out the unbelief and negative strongholds that we've acquired by being so tapped into this world that is saturated in all things anti God.
Jesus said it Himself while talking to His disciples when they couldn't cast the demons out of the young boy. He said, "this kind", and He was talking about unbelief, "only comes out by prayer and fasting."
Let me encourage all of you, in these last days. Walking in The Spirit, not being controlled by your flesh, tearing down strongholds, getting rid of unbelief, not being so keyed into this ungodly world and being able to hear The Holy Spirit is extremely important. Prayer and fasting should be on deck for all Believers.
