Contrary to what some TV preachers might claim whom I might add makes more money in a year than most middle-income families; Christian’s are NOT under a curse if they don’t give or “tithe” to any one particular ministry or church.
This is the mess we are in today when jive talking preachers spin their web of financial fraud by twisting scripture that confuses those in the faith who are either uneducated of the word, or just don’t understand the principles of their standing with Christ.
The cross ended the curse, the cross completed the requirement of Mosaic law, and grace filled the void thereafter.
Preacher, you do a disservice to the Lord as well as the people who entrust you with their spiritual life, and if you don’t stop propagating this doctrine of greed, you WILL give an account at the judgement.
We need a revolution in the church today and overthrow the monarchy of religious piety and a return to the simplicity of the gospel.
Here’s the rule for giving today under this new covenant: Give as you purpose it in your heart to give. And do it cheerfully. (2 Corinthians 9:7) See how easy that is?
