If you’re reading your tattered Bible through tears this morning or if you feel like broken pottery ~ Psalm 31 puts words to our pain:
-I’m in distress. My eyes grow weak with sorrow. I ‘m forgotten. My strength fails. I ‘m an object of dread to my closest friends. I ‘ve become like broken pottery.
But Psalm 31 also puts words to our Hope ~ But I trust in you, Lord. My times are in Your hands. How abundant are the good things you have stored up for those who fear you. He showed me the wonders of His love. You heard my cry for mercy.
This very Psalm, that opens with tears and anguish, closes with triumphant anticipation ~ Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
Today, if you feel like broken pottery, remember your Potter. He made the heavens and the earth, and His mighty hand is still on you.

Isaiah 64:8 ... But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. ❤
