The Only Way

Jesus is not one of many ways to approach God, nor is He the best of several ways; He is the only way.

[A.W. Tozer]

John 14:6 ... Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4:12 ... Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby... we must be saved.

1 Timothy 2:5 ... For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Ephesians 2:13-14 ... But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

It is good to WAIT on the Lord

A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin, age five and Ryan, three. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake.

Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson so she said; “Now boys, if Jesus were sitting here, He would say, ‘Let my brother have the first pancake. I can wait.’”

Kevin thought for a moment, then turned to his younger brother and said, “Ryan, you be Jesus.”

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:26

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Psalm 37:7 ♥

Spiritual Victory

Spiritual victory comes only to those who are prepared for battle.

[Author Unknown]

Psalm 108:13 ... Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Proverbs 21:31 ... The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

1 Corinthians 15:57 ... But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 6:11-18 ... Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

God's Embroidering

When I was little, my mother used to sew a great deal. I would sit at her knee and look up from the floor and ask what she was doing. She informed me that she was embroidering. As from the underside I watched her work within the boundaries of the little round hoop that she held in her hand. I complained to her that it sure looked messy from where I sat.

She would smile at me, look down and gently say, “Son, you go about your playing for a while, and when I am finished with my embroidering, I will put you on my knee and let you see it from my side.

I would wonder why she was using some dark thread along with the bright ones and why they seemed so jumbled from my view. A few minutes would pass and then I would hear Mother’s voice say, “Son, come and sit on my knee.”

Then Mother would say to me, “My son, from underneath it did look messy and jumbled, but you did not realize that there was a plan on the top. It was a design. I was only following it. Now look at it from my side and you will see what I was doing.”
Many times through the years I have looked up to heaven and said, “Father, what are You doing?” He has answered, “I am embroidering your life.”

I say, “But it looks like a mess to me. It seems so jumbled. The threads seem so dark. Why can’t they all be bright?”

The Father seems to tell me, “My child, you go about your business of doing My business, and one day I will bring you to Heaven and put you on My knee and you will see the plan from My side.

The “Four Cs” of a Spiritual Diamond

Conviction = the degree to which one knows and believes the Word of God.

Commitment = the degree to which one consistently acts on that knowledge and belief.

Courage = the degree to which one is able to persevere in the face of trial or difficulty.

Character = the degree to which one is conformed to the image of God’s perfect Son, Jesus Christ.

Let’s all strive to be spiritual diamonds of unshakable conviction, unwavering commitment, unflinching courage and Christlike character! For a diamond... is forever!

Today is a Gift ~ That is why it is called: The Present

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry. Two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One of these days is yesterday with its mistakes and cares, Its faults and blunders, Its aches and pains.  Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.  All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday.  We cannot undo a single act we performed.

We cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone.

The other day we should not worry about is tomorrow. With its possible adversities, Its burdens, Its large promise and poor performance. Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow’s Sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.
This just leaves only one day . . . Today.

Any person can fight the battles of just one day. It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity’s - yesterday and tomorrow that we break down.
It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse or bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring. Let us therefore live but one day at a time.

[Author Unknown]

It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. Lamentations 3:22-24

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:33-34

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. James 4:14-15 ♥

Heaven's Grocery Store

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read, "Heaven's Grocery Store". As I got a little closer the door came open wide, and when I came to myself I was standing inside.

I saw a host of Angels, they were standing everywhere. One handed me a blanket and said, "My Child shop with care". Everything a Christian needs is in that grocery store, and all you can't carry, come back the next day for more.

First, I got some Patience, Love was in the same row. Further down was Understanding, needed everywhere you go. I got a box or two of Wisdom, a bag or two of Faith, I just couldn't miss the Holy Ghost, it was all over the place.

I stopped to get some Strength and Courage to help me run this race, but then my blanket was getting full, and I remembered I needed Grace. I didn't forget Salvation, which like the others was free, so I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me.

Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill, for I thought I had everything to do my master's will. As I went up the aisle, I saw Prayer and had to put it in, for I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin.

Peace and Joy were plentiful, they were on the last shelf. Song and Praises were hanging near, so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the Angel, "How much do I owe?” The Angel smiled and said, "Just take them everywhere you go." Again, I politely asked "How much do I really owe?" The Angel smiled again and said, "My Child, Jesus Paid Your Bill A Long Time Ago."

[Ron DeMarco]

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1 Corinthians 2:12

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:5-8 ♥

By Faith ~

Every benefit flowing from the atonement of Christ comes to the individual through the gateway of faith. Forgiveness, cleansing, regeneration, the Holy Spirit, all answers to prayer, are given to faith and received by faith. There is no other way.

[A.W. Tozer]

And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye ...see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. Acts 3:16

And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace. Luke 8:48

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:16

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 5:1

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 ♥

A Nail

The nail is used for many things, A useful securing tool; A hammer is taken by the hand And drives it, that's the rule.

A nail is needed when you build, It's a necessary thing. It was also used over two thousand years ago, To hang upon a tree, the King.

He took the pain and suffering, For all mankind, you see. Yet He took the torture just for you, And He took it just for me.

You cannot keep a good man down, Through the years many have said. He went down a man, and rose a King, To deliver the spiritually dead.

He is on the throne, At God's right hand. The First, the Last, The Great I Am.

No nail, no hammer can touch Him now-- The mighty King on high. What He built is forevermore, Salvation for you and I.

So when you see a simple nail with it's sharpened end, And need to build or repair, Lift up your eyes, your heart and mind, And thank Him with a prayer.

Abundant Life

God gives us the gift of eternal life when we first believe. This life that God has given to us is in abundance. Jesus said, ~ I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Psalm 23:5 KJV

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 ♥

The LOVE of Christ

Following Christ has nothing to do with success as the world sees success. It has to do with love.

[Madeleine L'Engle]

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:14-17 ♥

Are You HIS?

The Lord is sending out an alarm call to His true believers and followers. It is no longer “Christ is coming soon.” It is no longer ‘Christ is coming very soon.” It is now today, undoubtedly, “Christ is near.”

Soaking in The Word

Our Bible reading should not be a marathon, but a slow, deliberate soaking in of its message.

[A.W. Tozer]

1 Timothy 4:15 ...Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Psalm 119:15 ... I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

Romans 10:17 ... So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. ♥

Eternal Salvation is Biblical

Hebrews 5:8-9

Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
And being made perfect, he became the author of ETERNAL SALVATION unto all them that obey him;

Beloved Saints,

You can be assured of your eternal salvation.

~ Knowing, brethren beloved, YOUR ELECTION OF GOD. For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in MUCH ASSURANCE; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 1 Thessalonians 1:4-5

However, you cannot earn your salvation, and your works do not keep it either. "He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?" (Galatians 3:5)

You are justified by God. (Romans 8:30)

You are sanctified by the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:11)

You are washed and regenerated by the Holy Ghost. (Titus 3:5-6)

It is all by GOD!

Salvation requires that you FULLY trust and believe (Faith) in the finished and complete work of Yeshua Jesus:

~ Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also YE ARE SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

~ For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Eternal [for ever] Salvation is supported by Scripture, over and over again. Yet, many disagree.

Some common arguments of those opposed to God preserving His Saints:

* We have free will. God won’t leave us but we can leave Him.

A: Perhaps they are not fully trusting in God.

What the Scripture says:

~ My Father, which gave them me, is GREATER THAN ALL; and NO MAN is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. John 10:29 [No man = includes yourself!]

~ Who are KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:5

* The day will come when Jesus will say to some, “depart from me, I never knew you.”

A: Yeshua Jesus did not say that He knew them and lost them. He said that He never knew them. NEVER.

What the Scripture says:

~ My sheep hear my voice, and I KNOW THEM, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall NEVER PERISH, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:27-28

~ ALL that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I WILL IN NO WISE CAST OUT. John 6:37

* I have seen Christians get saved and then go back to a lifestyle of sin.

A: A “Christian” is not a person who has said a prayer, or walked down an aisle, or been raised in a Christian family. A Christian is a person who has, by faith, received and fully trusted in Jesus Christ as the only Savior (John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8-9).

What the Scripture says:

~ They went out from us, but they were NOT OF US ; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were NOT ALL OF US. 1 John 2:19

~ But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is NONE OF HIS. Romans 8:9

* What about Judas? He lost his salvation.

A: The Scripture gives every indication that Judas was not saved.

What the Scripture says:

~ The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Matthew 26:24

~ While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. John 17:12

* Salvation is based on us staying in Christ.

A: Salvation is a gift, freely given, and not earned. (Ephesians 2:8-9) We work FROM (because of) our salvation, not TOWARD (to earn or keep) salvation. We are in Christ and remain in Christ because OF HIM, not because of ourselves.

What the Scripture says:

~ For IT IS GOD WHICH WORKETH IN YOU both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13

~ But OF HIM are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:30-31

* Revelation 3:5 says that Jesus will blot your name out of the book of life.

A: They have added to the Scripture, an implication that may not be there. Yeshua Jesus said, “I will NOT blot out his name” speaking to those that overcome. To the believer: this is a promise, not a threat.

What the Scripture says:

~ For whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMETH the world: and this is the victory that OVERCOMETH the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4

~ Who is he that OVERCOMETH the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5

* OSAS is a license to freely sin.

A: This is a legitimate concern.

Your Eternal Salvation does not give you a “license to sin” nor should you continue in a lifestyle of sin. The calling of God includes repentance:

~ I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 5:32

~ Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. Luke 15:10

~ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9

ETERNAL LIFE is the promise of God. [Eternal = lasting forever; always existing. Everlasting = Lasting forever; eternal. Seal = anything that serves as assurance.]

Simply put, you cannot have eternal life and not be kept eternally by God. You cannot have a promised inheritance and not be sealed by the Holy Spirit. If you are saved, then you are HIS! If you are saved, you do not only have Yeshua Jesus, but rather the LORD GOD has YOU!

~ And I will make an EVERLASTING COVENANT with them, that I WILL NOT TURN AWAY FROM THEM, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that THEY SHALL NOT DEPART FROM ME. Jeremiah 32:40

See and Hear what GOD has said to Believers:

In the Last Days...Stand Firm

Long ago, God foretold that "scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts" (2 Peter 3:1–6). The Bible states that "in the last days" men "having a form of godliness but denying its power" will actually deny that "all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God" (2 Timothy 3:1–17).

Looking to the end of the age, the Apostle Paul predicted that "the time will come when… they will have itching ears [to hear some new idea], they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables" (2 Timothy 4:1–5).

This is where we are today!

... But in the midst of it all, we can —and must— stand firm in the promises of God. ℛℒ

I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8

He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. Psalm 62:6

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 2 Thessalonians 2:15

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58 ♥

The Old Cowboy Attire

One Sunday morning an old cowboy entered a church just before services were to begin. Although the old man and his clothes were spotlessly clean, he wore jeans, a denim shirt and boots that were very worn and ragged. In his hand he carried a worn out old hat and an equally worn out Bible.

The church he entered was in a very upscale and exclusive part of the city. It was the largest and most beautiful church the old cowboy had ever seen. The people of the congregation were all dressed with expensive clothes and accessories.

As the cowboy took a seat, the others moved away from him. No one greeted, spoke to, or welcomed him. They were all appalled at his appearance and did not attempt to hide it.

As the old cowboy was leaving the church, the preacher approached him and asked the cowboy to do him a favor.

"Before you come back in here again, have a talk with God, and ask him what he thinks would be appropriate attire for worship." The old cowboy assured the preacher he would.

The next Sunday, he showed back up for the services wearing the same ragged jeans, shirt, boots, and hat. Once again he was completely shunned and ignored.

The preacher again approached the man and said, "I thought I asked you to speak to God before you came back to our church."

"I did," replied the old cowboy.

"If you spoke to God, what did he tell you the proper attire should be for worshiping in here?" asked the preacher.

"Well, sir, God told me that He didn't have a clue what I should wear. He said He'd never been in this church."❤

United With God

True happiness is not found in any other reward than that of being united with God.

 [Thomas Merton]

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Philippians 3:20

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 1:21 ♥

Earthen Vessels

God did not choose fine china to hold His most precious treasure. He chose jars of clay. The jars are common, fragile, of little value in themselves, and will break sooner or later. It’s what’s inside the jars that makes them priceless.

[Author Unknown]

The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter! Lamentations 4:2

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 ♥

We Remember, Lord

There are those that argue that the Rapture is of recent origin – something that was invented by J.N. Darby or Margaret MacDonald or C.I. Scofield. But as a doctrine, it was actually invented by Jesus Christ...

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ♥

"Remember That I Told You" by Jack Kinsella
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (2nd Peter 3:3-4)

Ablaze for God

Spirit filled souls are ablaze for God. They love with a love that glows. They serve with a faith that kindles. They serve with a devotion that consumes. They hate sin with fierceness that burns. They rejoice with a joy that radiates. Love is perfected in the fire of God.
