Fickle or Faithful

We all know people who are fickle and unreliable. Fickle people change their minds, change their loyalties, change their standards. Something in their nature is unstable, capricious, impulsive. Nothing seems to matter. Nothing seems too important. Nothing seems to merit commitment.  And unreliable people don't come through, can't be depended upon, and can't be trusted with responsibility [this should not be the case with Christians].

As Christians it is vitally important that God's faithfulness be a part of our character. Why? Because faithfulness marks God's presence in our lives. When you and I are faithful, we show that we are born of God and belong to Him. As we walk in faithfulness, we show forth our faithful Savior to others.

Luke 16:10 ... He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

1 Corinthians 4:2 ... Moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Revelation 2:10 ... Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer, behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
