And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 ❤

Three Huts

One balmy day in the South Pacific, a navy ship espied smoke coming from one of three huts on an uncharted island.

Upon arriving at the shore they were met by a shipwreck survivor. He said, "I'm so glad you're here!

I've been alone on this island for more than five years!" The captain replied, "If you're all alone on the island why do I see three huts."

The survivor said, "Oh. We'll, I live in one, and go to church in another."
"What about the THIRD hut?" asked the captain.

"That's where I USED to go to church." ツ

Feeling Insignificant?

If you feel insignificant and the smallest part in the body of Christ, just ask a gymnast how important their little toe is, in providing equilibrium on the balance beam!

[Author Unknown]

1 Corinthians 10:17 ... For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

1 Corinthians 12:27 ... Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Romans 12:5 ... So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. ❤

Lesson From a Bug

I pulled out of my driveway heading for my mom's and noticed a katydid on my windshield.

As I accelerated, I noticed the wind was making his body flutter, but the legs were securely attached to the windshield.

I was sure he would lose his battle to the wind, but he kept hanging on body fluttering in the wind. He did this for a couple of miles. As I slowed down one time he tried to re-adjust his footing.

He released his grip on the windshield with just one leg and it was all over, he was gone.

✞ The wind is our trials.

✞ The windshield is like the word of God.

✞ When we hold on to our "windshield" securely, we are secure.

✞ When things start to settle down we often loosen our grip on God’s word. We start to rely on our strength and understanding rather than staying in God’s word. That’s when the trials comeback and catch us unprepared and the trials drag us away.

✞ If we hold firm to God's word, we will be ready for the trials as they come.

2 Thessalonians 2:15-17 ... Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Calvary

The Bible grabs our arm and causes us to face the greatest of all examples of generosity: God’s donation of His Son for world salvation. Creation cost God nothing but our salvation cost Him everything. At the heart of Creation was a crown of thorns, Calvary.

[Reinhard Bonnke]

Romans 5:8 ... But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16 … For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 4:9 ... In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.❤

1 Corinthians 13

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Than to be the king of a vast domain
And be held in sin’s dread sway;
I’d rather have Jesus than anything
This world affords today.

I’d rather have Jesus than world’s applause;
I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame;
I’d rather be true to His holy name

I Found Jesus There

"Tomorrow morning," the surgeon began, "I'll open up your heart..."
"You'll find Jesus there," the boy interrupted.

The surgeon looked up, annoyed. "I'll cut your heart open," he continued, "to see how much damage has been done.""But when you open up my heart, you'll find Jesus in there."

The surgeon looked to the parents, who sat quietly. "When I see how much damage has been done, I'll sew your heart and chest back up and I'll plan what to do next."
"But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The Bible says He lives there. The hymns all say He lives there. You'll find Him in my heart."

The surgeon had had enough. "I'll tell you what I'll find in your heart. I'll find damaged muscle, low blood supply, and weakened vessels. And I'll find out if I can make you well." "You'll find Jesus there too. He lives there." The surgeon left. Surgery was done.

The surgeon sat in his office, recording his notes from the surgery, ... damaged aorta, damaged pulmonary vein, widespread muscle degeneration. No hope for transplant, no hope for cure. Therapy: painkillers and bed rest. Prognosis:, here he paused, "death within one year."

He stopped the recorder, but there was more to be said.

"Why?" he asked aloud. "Why did You do this? You've put him here; You've put him in this pain; and You've cursed him to an early death. Why?"

The Lord answered and said, The boy, My lamb, was not meant for your flock for long, for he is a part of My flock, and will forever be. Here, in My flock, he will feel no pain, and will be comforted as you cannot imagine. His parents will one day join him here, and they will know peace, and My flock will continue to grow.

The surgeon's tears were hot, but his anger was hotter. "You created that boy, and You created that heart. He'll be dead in months. "Why?"

The Lord answered, The boy, My lamb, shall return to My flock, for he has done his duty: I did not put My lamb with your flock to lose him, but to retrieve another lost lamb.

The surgeon wept.

The surgeon sat beside the boy's bed; the boy's parents sat across from him. The boy awoke and whispered, "Did you cut open my heart?"

"Yes," said the surgeon.

"What did you find?" asked the boy.

"I found Jesus there," said the surgeon.

Let Us Walk

O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

Things God Can't Do

Some characteristics of God to encourage and strengthen you ~

God can't get tired.
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Isaiah 40:28

God can't take on a job he can't handle.
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: Jeremiah 32:17

God can't be unholy.
And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. Isaiah 6:3

God can't be prejudiced.
Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. Acts 10:34-35

God can't break a promise.
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Psalm 89:34

God can't remember sins he's chosen to forget.
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Isaiah 43:25

God can't make a loser.
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14

God can't abandon you.
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6

God can't stop thinking about you.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Psalm 139:17-18

God can't stop loving you.
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3

Think God Thoughts

Christ’s discernment penetrates to the deepest reaches of the heart, but it is of the same type as the discernment the Christian is to develop, for the only discernment we possess is that which we receive in union with Christ, by the Spirit, through God’s Word.

Discernment is learning to “think God’s thoughts after him,” practically and spiritually; it means having a sense of how things look in God’s eyes, and seeing them in some measure “uncovered and laid bare.”

[Sinclair Ferguson]

Romans 12:2 ... And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians 10:5 ... Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Psalm 119:66 ... Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

Philippians 2:5-8 ... Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. ❤

Only One True God

The god of religion (Islam, Hinduism, Jehovah’s Witness, Scientology, etc.) is not God. Yahweh, manifested in the flesh as Yahshua (Jesus Christ) is the only one true living God. People in religions may worship a "god" … but Yahshua (Jesus) is still sovereign, and He is God over all of the people in the false religions, whether they realize it or not. Every knee shall bow to Jesus! HalleluYAH. ℛℒ

1 Timothy 3:16 ... And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1 Corinthians 12:3 ... Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

Romans 14:11 ... For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Philippians 2:10-11 ... That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ❤

Rush It - Ruin It

Make it a goal to not find your fingerprints on your future. Only one set of prints -God's. See, your involvement could well become interference. Would you let God finish His masterpiece in His time? Impatience can, as young cooks often learn, ruin the final result. Oh, you'll love what God is cooking up. Just don't try to rush it.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 ... He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. ♥

The State of The Heart

The testimony of the lips indicates the state of the heart.

Matthew 12:33-35 ... Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Luke 6:45 ... A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Ecclesiastes 5:2 ... Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. ♥

Ten "Must" for Believers

1. I must be born again.

✞ Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)

✞ Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (John 3:7)

The person who is not born again cannot understand God’s Word:

✞ But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.(1 Corinthians 2:14).

2. I must desire to know the truth as found in God’s Word.

✞ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)

3. I must desire to do God's will.

✞ Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. (John 7:16-17)

4. I must desire to grow.

✞ As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: (1 Peter 2:2)

5. I must obey the truth that I already know.

✞ If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. (John 13:17)

6. I must be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.

✞ But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.(James 1:22)

7. I must not only learn Christ’s commandments but I must learn to observe (keep) His commandments.

✞ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:20)

8. I must take heed not only to the doctrine but to myself.

✞ Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (1 Timothy 4:16)

✞ Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. (Acts 20:28)

9. I must understand that Bible study is hard work.

✞ Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

10. I must realize that understanding is a gift from the Lord and thus I need to be right with the Lord and spiritually prepared and ready to receive understanding from Him.

✞ Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. (2 Timothy 2:7)

✞ Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. (James 1:21)

C-CONFESS Romans 10:9-10 ... That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Enlighten Us

O Holy Spirit, descend plentifully into my heart. Enlighten the dark corners of this neglected dwelling and scatter there Thy cheerful beams.

[Augustine]

Job 3:20 ... Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul;

Psalm 18:28 ... For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

Psalm 36:9 ... For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

John 8:12 ... Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. ♥

Preach the Truth

Watering down God's Holy Word is Satan's weapon of mass destruction. Preach the cross and stick to the Bible.

[Johnny Lee Clary]

1 Corinthians 1:18 ... For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Mark 16:15 ... And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

2 John 1:7 ... For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

2 Timothy 4:2-3 ... Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; ♥

Psalm 121

•♥•✿ڿڰۣ(̆̃̃•♥ღڿڰۣ•♥(̆̃̃ღ•♥•ڿڰۣ(̆̃̃ღ•♥•

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Time to Shine

The parable of the talents: Matthew 25:14-30

We live in an age of advanced technology that allows us to be witnesses for Christ in a very public manner. But some Christians are concealing what they post on social networks [or partially concealing] by the use of privacy settings. The Bible says: a city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (Matthew 5:14) So, the question is, what are you hiding?

There is a lost and dying world out there. Believers should be living a life that is worthy of their calling. If you are sinning, you need to stop. If you are having problems or hurting etc., then you need to ask God for help so that you may overcome (1 John 5:4). Believers should be serving the Lord with boldness, sharing His love openly, and reaching as many souls as possible.

Stop hiding and start shining! ℛℒ

Ephesians 4:1 … I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2 Thessalonians 1:11 … Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power.

Luke 10:2 ... Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Matthew 5:16 … In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. ♥

Trust in God

Trust involves letting go and knowing God will catch you.

[James Dobson]

Psalm 40:4 ... Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Proverbs 3:5-6 ... Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Isaiah 26:4 ... Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: ♥

Love Never Fails

The great thing to remember is that though our feelings come and go, God's love for us does not.

 [C.S. Lewis]

Psalm 89:33 ... Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

Joshua 1:5 ... There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Romans 8:38-39 ... For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ♥

The 5 Keys to Discernment

1) Know your HOLY GOD intimately. When you have seen His glory, His holiness and His love by drawing close to Him in prayer then you can usually see through any counterfeits because you know the "real thing" so well.

2) Know your Bible. It is very important to be able to spot teachings that are either extra-biblical or directly opposed to what the Scriptures teach. However, it is important to remember that the Scribes and Pharisees were extremely learned in the Scriptures and yet they missed the very Messiah that was prophesied! So knowing the Bible is important – especially for doctrinal issues – but we need to be able to “discern the spirits” also.

3) Be a “lover of truth”. This is very crucial. Are you someone who will actually stand up for Truth – even against the crowd? Or do you remain silent even when you are convinced something is very wrong?

4) Purity of heart and Humility. Many deceptions only appeal to us because there is something inside us that “wants” to believe them. They are seductive because of darkness and wrong motives in our own lives. We must search our hearts and root these out.

5) The ‘inner witness’ of the Holy Spirit. We must learn to never over-ride this “still small voice”, as it will save us from deception again and again.

The Great I AM

On the cross, He bled and died,
My love for Him won’t be denied.
Through all the World His name resounds,
His love for man eternally abounds.

He was buried in a tomb, the entrance was sealed,
Now He has risen, by His stripes we are healed.
I bow down to You Jesus, in reverence and awe,
You dwell in my heart, it is You I adore.

You are my Salvation, the Great I Am,
The Father’s Son, the Precious Lamb.
You are my Strength when I am weak,
It is You my Saviour whom I seek.

Touch my heart Jesus, show me the way,
Abide in me, strengthen me day by day.
Because of Your sin-bearing death and resurrection,
I now have a life filled with purpose and direction.

Isaiah 53:5 ... But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. ♥
